I used Jackie from Imakeupyou and she was excellent! Everyone raved about her work. She works with a lady named Margaret who does hair and she was excellent too. They both came to the house in the hamptons and did about 6 of us. I would highly recommend both of them. Good luck!

Kristen from Enchante Salon and Day Spa did my hair and makeup for my wedding, plus she also did my mom's hair and makeup, my MOH's hair and makeup, and my flowergirl's hair. My only other bridesmaid did her own.

Like JennRenee (who was the one who recommended Kristen to me), I totally sympathize with Cindy and her experience, it really is lousy when you don't get everything you were hoping for from a vendor you have hired for such an important day .. that kind of stress just shouldn't happen.

However, I do think that there sometimes will be unfortunate encounters from even the best vendors, and this, to me, seems like it was one of those. So many girls from this site have used Kristen with much happiness.

I too continue to use Kristen since my rainy Sept. 2001 wedding, and also have nothing but glowing things to say.

As for my little niece who was my flowergirl, and was a 4 1/2 year old bundle of energy at the time of our wedding, she has straight, fine hair and had an up-do that lasted all day and night, from about 9:30 a.m. til the end of our evening reception, which went until about midnight .. and my little niece probably danced more than anyone!

Re: Can you share who did your hair?

Kel,
Thank you for understanding my situation. Looking back, with the money I spent for the trial, maybe I should of had a full trial with her (had her curl my hair, etc.) When I had my trial she put it back basically the way I wanted it. When I spoke to my hairdresser after my wedding, she said in 25 years she never heard of a brides hair falling. It was an unfortunate situation, like you said. She did come back and fix it, so that was nice that she did that and that says alot. It happened and there is nothing I can do. I think if people love using her and have a good experiece, I am glad for them!
