Candle votives Place cards: How did it work out?

Hey, I'm just curious...For those of you that did the candle votive placecards how did it work out? If you have any pics, can you please post it?Oh, I'm curious to know if any of your guests took the votives home. Thanks.

PS: Did anyone try using the clear sticky labels on the frosted votive?

I did them and they worked out great! Everyone was raving about them and they all took them home. I love the way they looked all lit up. This is a picture I have of them (some were already taken so it looks a little empty but it gives you the idea).

people have told me they loved the idea of the candle place cards...they had them on their tables and actually took them home as an additional souvenir

i used the clear labels on clear votive glass holder and it worked out fine...i used a 2x4 label and spread the names across the height of the label because i also tied an ivory bow in the middle of the candle

I did them but I used the vellum on the clear votive. I think the clear label on the frosted votive would have been so much easier!!

But mine worked out great, the guests loved them and most of them took it home as an additional souvenir. The best part was watching all the guests streaming into the ballroom with the lights dimmed and all the little candles all over... it was so pretty!

Yes, a lot of guests took them home. I was surprised by that as I can't imagine what anyone would do with one votive holder but I was happy people liked them that much.

Thanks for bumping. FH and I are looking for the votives right now. We're going to do the frosted one with clear labels.

I have a question though, what did you do about last minute people?? Did you have any votives where you just had to right in the names?

They worked out great! I was the first one to do them at FF, and all went well. We lit them during my ceremony (used tea lights) and people brought them to their seats after cocktial hour. They stayed lit most of the time.
