What are irish potatoes? DH told me to get red potatoes. Is this the same thing?

The ones I usually make are a mixture
confectioners' sugar , vanilla extract, cream cheese, butter and flaked coconut, then they are all rolled up into little balls then covered in cinnamon
I have a recipe for them but was looking for a new one
