but I don't know what a scrapbook is. THERE I SAID IT! So Sonicstef and all you creative gurus PLEASE help the helpless...
I mean I KNOW what it is...but what type of book do you buy? Is it something I can buy at Kates Paperie? Do you glue things in? Now that I have a sonogram picture and a few well wishing cards, I want to start one for my bambini , but this uncreative mommy to be doesn't know where to start! Any advice?

Heather and suzanne are more of an expert than me Im new but you buy albums from creative memories www.creativememories.com you can email me for the consultants name and MICHAELS Sells albums, stickers, paper, etc....
YOu glue things yes- w/ cool tape runners or stickers, the pages preserve better than photo albums and you can cut circles, ovals, etc..... I love my personal cutter, its a mini of those big paper cutter things we used in HS

Well, there are books in Michaels, Joanns even Wlmart has supplies for it. Basically put out of your mind those old picture albums that had a plastic sheet over sticky paper from the 70's and 80's. This is more like what your grandparents used to put pictures in. Only now people are embelishing them. For esxample: My friends wedding I saved her invite, a picture of her favor inlcuding the paper it was wrapped in, napkins, etc. So the page where I put the pic of the favor I used the wrapping that wrapped it as the background. At an angle behind the pic I put the napking because it had the names and date. I will have to scan in one of my pages!

A scrapbook is really anything that stores or displays stuff that is important to you.
Most people do scrapbooks by glueing photos and bits of writing and other embellishments.
I do mine by designing everything on the pc and then printing it out and binding.
You could do something as simple as writing in a small journal and taping important souveniers into it.
