Cashing...Mexico Honey Moon

Hello Ladies,
FH and I are looking into mexico for our honeymoon. Just wanted to know if any of you ladies went there for your honeymoon. I am a little worried about the drug kartels and all the bad things I have heard about Mexico so far. Our travel agent did say it is pretty safe, we are looking to stay at secret maroma.

Any feedback will be greatful.

Thanks ladies

Re: Cashing...Mexico Honey Moon

DH and I went to Cancun for our HM too..and it is so touristy and safe there. The problems you hear about Mexico are on the border towns between the US and Mexico...not really in Cancun.

We stayed at the Gran Caribe Real resort which was really nice...but their sister all adult resort next door The Royal was amazingggg!!!!! We had one meal there due to an upgrade at our resort and omg we so wish we had the money to stay there! We had a ton of fun in Cancun and I would recommend 100%. Maya Riviera is really popular for honeymoons as well

Yep we took the local bus downtown to where all of the shops and bars and clubs were...and even walked back one night since our hotel is about a mile from downtown. We felt nothing but safe walking around at any time and hopping on and off of the bus. There is too much to do there than sit on the resort. We would get bored which is why we went to Cancun because we could go out and about if we wanted or stay on the resort if we wanted. It is a huge tourist place so it really is safe there to go around.

Re: Cashing...Mexico Honey Moon

definitely stay on the east side of mexico. cancun should be fine as long as you stay in a resort.

NICE!! You are going to love it!!! when you get there though... just one word of advise; do not fall for sitting with someone that will try and push a time share on you... just say your not interested and keep moving...
