I have a Christening on Sunday and am not sure what to give as a gift.
If you give cash how much do you give?
If you give cash and a gift...how much cash and what type of gift?
If you just give a gift...what type of gift?
TIA!

DH and I are pretty good friends with them. The party is at a restaurant...La Parma.

Re: Christening Gift?
I think anything between $50 and $100 is good. You could also give a savings bond.

Re: Christening Gift?
I usually give savings bonds for Christenings. I think anywhere between $50 and $100 is good (remember if you are giving a $100 bond it would only cost you $50.)

Re: Christening Gift?
DH and I were just discussing this last night. I suggested a savings bond for his cousin's daughter and he seemed to think that was 'out of style.' Sooo he wanted to get a Babies R Us GC ... but I dunno ... think it should be a monetary gift in the child's name ... TBH I don't want his parents spending it on themselves because that's how they operate.

I had that same issue with my cousin so that is why I got a savings bond.
I was just unsure what I should do for a close friend who I know will not do that with the money.

Re: Christening Gift?
instead of cash i would do a savings bond...a $100 savings bond will only cost about $50
if you wanna give a gift try things remembered...they have cuz keepsake boxes, and frames that you can personalize..
i went to my best friends baby's christening 2 weekends ago and got her a pretty keepsake box that had an angel on it, had it personalized with her name on it...with personalization it cost me like $45...

I always give cash & we usually give 100 unless its at a place that is a little more then we give what it is per head.
