Christmas Card before thank yous??

We haven't gotten our proofs back yet (obviously) and we probably wont get them in time to send them out for Christmas.

I was thinking of adding wedding pics from guests to our christmas card (see below the template), but will it be overkill to send a pro-pic with our thank you cards as well about a month later?

Would you consider sending the holiday cards as your TY card? Because they are so beautiful!

Personally, and we did this, we did not send out Christmas cards last year b/c we weren't ready with our thank you notes. We didn't do photo thank yous, but I couldn't stomach the idea that I was able to send out holiday cards yet couldn't get the ty notes done. So, we skipped the Christmas cards and got our ty notes done within the first three months. We'll be doing holiday cards again this year. Totally up to you in the end, but we just didn't feel comfortable.

the holiday card you did is lovely though! you might want to consider having that be your ty note.

People gave us great feedback on it, but that was just our experience.

your card is where I got the idea. we are getting the same thing 'i want to see pictures' from like EVERYONE!! lol

I think I'm just going to do both. We send Christmas cards to people who didn't attend/weren't invited to the wedding so to try and sort it all out, etc. feels like more work.

We don't have our proofs yet, and probably wont in time for TYs be4 christmas..but we are still sending out holiday cards.. and we are probably using a photo. Not sure if we are adding any from the wedding yet... i'm still deciding on what to do..lol. But i don't think it would bother me if i received a xmas card before the thank you...especially since i'm sure a lot of ppl know that you are probably waiting for pictures to do thank you cards!!!!!
thats just my opinion though and some ppl may feel differently.

Oh cool! Yeah we did send TY cards to everyone afterwards, but a few months later due to some health issues.

Well.. DH and I agreed and we are sending out this card for Christmas and a pro-pic with our thank yous once we get them!

I love it! I think this is a great idea.

We are actually doing the same thing. I am getting my proofs some time this week, so we just took some non-pro pics and made a christmas card on shutterfly.

I think it is a great idea.... and ur card came out GREAT!!

I like this idea! I love picture christmas cards...they are my fav!

We did picture thank yous back in July. And now did picture christmas cards with 3 pics of us:

1 candid from the wedding
1 christmas photo of us
1 pic from the honeymoon
