i know it months away and i was just thinking of this, are you girls going to get special xmas cards made to mail out this year.
If so where are you getting them from?
I am doing my day after in October and my photographer suggested we bring santa hats, so we could do xmas cards

THe christmas after we got married we sent out cards from shutterfly. It was a funny picture of us on our HM. Everyone loved it!!!

We didn't... just regular cards
and this may be my opinion only, i always though the Christmas pictures with just the couple on it was cheesy... i don't know... i feel like people do that with their kids, not just by themselves... why would my friends or other adults want a picture of us???? babies are cute... me, not so much! lol....
but maybe that's just me, but i don't like them. i just get regular cards, sign them and insert a Christmas letter.

ITA! We received one and I didn't understand why they did that, but some people like it.

Well let me tell you that my family never did the photo christmas card thing, but DH's family ALWAYS does it--the 3 kids and whatever pets they have. SO this past year, since we were engaged, DH decided he wanted to send out cards for the first time ever (I have been sending to my friends and family for a few years, but just regular cute cards). He wanted to do a photo card, and he was so into it I really didn't want to turn him down....so we had a photo shoot with us and Ali (our dog) and our tiny xmas tree...). They turned out cute. Personally I wouldn't have done the photo card but DH was so all about it I decided to pick my battles!

I personally love it! I can't wait to make up christmas cards this year..not sure what picture we'll use yet but I definitely want to!

i never really thought of it, until my photography told to bring bring santa hats, so then i thought it would be funny, if we do it it will surely be funny pictures of us in santa hats

I kinda feel the same. We just do regular cards and will do the same until we have children.

We send them out with our dog on them! LOL
We would never send pictures of ourselves, its not our style. DH was all upset we had to send pictures out with our thank yous!

we didn't get to send any out last year since it was so close to our wedding. But we're sending cards out this year.
We have never sent photo cards (usually send out two cards-- one nautical, one religious), and probably won't and will just include regular shots of our kids (once we have them). Just not our style.

I like photo cards I don't care who is in them if they are funny even better. I though would not mix wedding with Christmas. If you sent a picture thank you I would think that would be enough. If I sent out wedding pics I would be mortified that people would think 'bridezilla needs to get over her wedding.'
