So...are you a city slicker or a country bumpkin? Which do you prefer- the city life or the slower, more suburban life?
We love the city for having fun and going out- we really miss my old apartment in Queens. But I love suburban living as well! I guess once we have kids we'll appreciate it more. For now, I'll say I'm a city mouse!

I don't think suburban mouse and country mouse are the same at all.
I like suburban living - I can't imagine having to work in the city and then live here on top of it. I need my space.
I'd love to have a horse farm in the country, though -- part of the 5 year plan!
Oh I know...I grew up in the burbs and know it ain't country- I was just being cute with using Aesop's fable- the Country mouse & city mouse...just comparing the two different speeds of life.

Def a city girl, but I grew up in the suburbs. When we extend our family, we will move out of the city....not too far out though.

Re: City Mouse or Country Mouse?
I could never live somewhere rural. I need to live somewhere that has street lights and where I can clearly see my closest neighbor, and where if I keep my window open at night I can hear things going on outside... people talking, people in their cars, etc., and I can walk to the nearest grocery store. I wouldn't want to live in the middle of Manhattan either though. A little too hectic for me & too many tall buildings & traffic, etc. I need a little peace and quiet too. I live in Queens which isn't too much 'big city' but definitely not 'country' either. I like it that way, also probably because it's how I'm used to living. I love visiting the country though, my in-laws live a few hours upstate and it's so great when we go there for the weekend (but I get bored after a couple of days there). And I love going into Manhattan because there's always so much going on but again just for the day.

We live less than 10 minutes from downtown Albany, but I seriously miss the 'real' city - NYC.

I am a Suburb kinda Girl.
I Love going into the City. I think it would be Cool to have a place in the City. I love the hustle & bustle of the City. I love the Threatre District, & I loveTime Square. I Really Love Xmas time in the City.
I like the Country, but I don't like being 1 hour away from the local supermarket & malls. But I do love the quiteness of it.
I couldn't vote for one.
It wouldn't be fair.

Re: City Mouse or Country Mouse?
I'm a city mouse...I need to live in a place where the houses are close together and you hear sirens at night. I've been upstate a few times and even thought that's not really 'the country' I was going nuts. Too quiet for me...I need the hustle and bustle of the city. I like knowing that if I get a craving for something at 2am I could run to the corner store and get whatever I need.
