dh and i have that black,kinda glass furniture and i swear i dust and a hour later its back?
i tried the swiffer but its the same..does a old sock really work?

Have you tried pledge? I really used to find that stuff worked great at my mom's house when I was younger for things like dusting the piano.

I have dark furniture too and the dustiest den on the planet. I use either the swiffer OR one of DH's old concert t-shirts. He almost killed me when he saw I was dusting it but it's seriously from Rolling Stones tour back in 1989 and was full of holes and as much as I love DH, he had as much of a chance of fitting in that t-shirt again as I have of wearing my size 0 jordache jeans!

for a quick dust... pledge makes a duster that has a little spray bottle that sits in it.... its amazing!!
they sell really good dusters that attract lint (instead of shuffle it around) in the cleaning aisle of stop and shop.
is it 360 degree pledge? idk.... but those ones are great!!!
if you are cleaning... i use pledge for my wood and windex for glass. pledge is also good for cleaning leather furniture. and i also like fantastic. i use paper towels with this. I have a friend who uses newspaper with windex... and it works. idk about cloth.
id DEF go for the handheld pledge duster thingy from the cleaning aisle!! It's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! When I discovered it... i sort of developed a dusting obsession!! then i got engaged and lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I alternate each week...one week I will clean/dust with pledge and the next week I will do just a swiffer...its not good to over pledge the wood!

Gina, I know exactly what you're talking about since our tv stand is like that. It's a horror to clean, especially with the dog hair everywhere! I use a microfiber cloth but you're right, it does come back an hour later!
