co-worker vent!

ok I know you newlyweds can relate to this one......I'm just soooooooooo sick of the pregnancy jokes, just b/c I'm a newlywed that does NOT mean I feel the need to have kids right away...........earlier today we had a dept. meeting- so we're sitting there in the conference room talking about upcoming vacations and I said I'm going away for our 1st anniversary in September, so then one of the women in my group goes 'uh oh someone's coming back pregnant' W T F!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so freakin' sick of everyone assuming all I want to do is get pregnant!!!!! It actually makes me want to push back when we decide to TTC (we were thinking about it by December-ish, we'll see!).

Then after that stupid comment in the meeting, I went down to the vending machine and got a bag of chips, so when I get back to my desk, I said to the guy who sits next to me that I don't know why I feel so hungry today and he goes 'maybe you're feeding for two?'……ok seriously why do these people think their funny????? And not for nothing, but they never know if I WAS actually trying and having a hard time or something it could be a sore spot……regardless I'm so sick of these comments!!! And PS the two people in my department who make the most comments are the 2 who aren't married yet- one is a chick who's been 'waiting' for the proposal, the other is a dude who lives with his gf but swears he's neverrrrrrrr getting married, and I NEVER bust their chops about getting married, like they do mine about getting pregnant.

I know all of you can relate to my pain!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me get out this long vent!!!!!

asking about having children = asking about your sex life. TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE.

I hate people.

I have been on stomach watch for over a year now. At this point everyone has just realized I am getting fat not pregnant. For the few that didn't get the don't ask people you work with when they plan on bumping uglies memo, I just tell them as soon as I kick my meth addiction I would like to start trying

the next time someone says something---i would say 'my uterus was destroyed by the plague--i'll never be a mom....but thanks for bringing it up' and then pretend to cry and run out the room. no one will ever ask that question again.

I know! I couldnt get away with saying my stomach hurt without anyone chiming in and saying maybe your pregnant and then chuckle.

How freaking annoying! Then the best part is they would get upset that I was actually annoyed. Well come on if you tell me that all the time it eventually gets annoying!

i was just asked this question by someone yesterday at a bbq, and i said when your ready to contribute to my bills, and the cost of formula and diapers i will have children.


She looked at me like WHATTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh I do this alllllll the time, even today I told them how tired I am b/c all day yesterday I was hungover......that doesn't discourage the pregnancy chatter.....apparently they think I want to be barefoot, pregnant AND drunk

ITA!! I have the same problem- anytime I wear a shirt w/ an empire waist, they all start oogling at my belly……..and I'm like NO I am not hiding a pregnancy, I'm hiding the few gallons of Haagen Daz I had over the weekend
