*** Columbus Day NWQOTD***

Hope those of you with a holiday today are enjoying your day off. As for the rest of you, I am suprised by how many people have to work today so your not alone. DH is off however and working on building the pieces of my walk in closet. I love that man. But there are some things he does that make me nuts.

I just moved in with DH after our honeymoon. I have known him forever and known about a lot of his little habits, but its different when you live together. I know some of you just moved in with DH, and some of you lived together for a while, but we have all had to adjust to living with him at some point. So

What are a few of DH's little habits that irritate you or even make your skin crawl?

DH drinks protein shakes each night before bed. He grinds up oats and puts peanut butter in it so the shake is VERY thick. (This i have no issue with, I bet it is delicious!) The problem is that he CHEWS HIS SHAKE! He stores it in his cheeks, chews and then gulps with each sip.It drive me NUTS!!!

Well...let's see...lol

-He leaves his shoes EVERYWHERE!!
-He leaves his dirty clothes next to the hamper, not in it
-When he opens something that has a wrapper on it....for example a CD, he will leave the wrapper wherever he opened the package...drives me nuts!! Just throw it away!
-When ever he is using screwdrivers he just leaves them in the same place he was using them

I'm sure there is more...

Here are my answers....

DH leaves his towel over the shower. It drives me nuts because I have to move it when I take a shower. He has always done that and I have been yelling at him for it since we got back together in 2005, but he still does it. Hello, thats what a towel rack is for.

He always leaves dishes piled up in the sink. I always have to be the one to put them in the dishwasher.

The one that makes my skin crawl is when he clears his nose, his nose makes a noise and his nose kind of separates from his face. I know its natural, but it freaks me out.


But despite all his little quirks, I love him. So you have to live with them.

Here are my answers....

DH leaves his towel over the shower. It drives me nuts because I have to move it when I take a shower. He has always done that and I have been yelling at him for it since we got back together in 2005, but he still does it. Hello, thats what a towel rack is for.

GRRRRR....my DH does the same thing with the dishes...drives me crazy!! I mean really...the dishwasher is right next to the sink!!

my DH leaves crap EVERYWHERE! there will be 3 different pairs of socks all over our living rooms in different spots depending on where he takes them off! like put them in the hamper!!!

he also clips his toe nails and piles them up on our coffee table!! eventually cleans them up, but sometime he doesnt do it right away and i have to see them piled up its gross!

He leaves his toothbrush in the shower which drives me crazy and when I travel for work he NEVER picks up the mail. . like I was gone for a week after we went to a wedding and then I went on a work trip and when I came home the box was STUFFED bc he had not checked it since we left for the wedding. .I know there's more but that's all I have for now

DH:

-leaves wet towels on the bed

-he makes this clicking noise w/ his tongue in his throat to clear his throat

-puts his wet, sweaty gym clothes in the hamper instead of on top so I know they need to be washed right away - & since I only do laundry every 3 or 4 days - then the rest of the laundry in the laundry basket starts to smell like his gym clothes

( I am sure there are a few others I cant think of right now - but these were the ones 1st to pop in my mind)

DH does the same thing and I yell at him for it EVERY DAY!

He also gets changed literally like 4 times a day... which makes for RIDICULOUS piles of laundry.

Oh and he uses like 10 times the amount of something he should... like we can go through a bottle of shampoo in 2 weeks, or uses 3 paper towels to clean up a drop of water!

But I guess if that's the worst of my complaints that's not too bad.

Mine are:

he bites his nails ( i slap them from his mouth, lol)
he leaves his socks NEXT to the hamper...like really????

When he takes a sticker off of fruit, he sticks it on the countertop. Why?

And the ultimate one....when the TP runs out the new roll could never possibly go on the holder, it obviously belongs on top of the toilet tank!

DH can never clean! This means as in washing dishes, cleaning the house, mop, dust, anything that involves cleaning. Also, he's a big time procrastinator! If ask him to do anything even a week in advance, it will never be done. We got our registry gifts still untouched--the cabinet that he promised to build right after our HM has been lying around for a year!!! One thing that he is good at- making a mess in the house. I guess men will be men.

where do I BEGIN!

he drinks rum & tonics or gin & tonics -- and he NEVER finishes a bottle of tonic -- like there will be a million open bottles of tonic water with a SPLASH left in our fridge.... so I've started dumping out the low bottles in the sink and throwing them out! He gets so mad but I refuse to have my fridge cluttered!

he NEVER wipes down the range after he cooks

I provide 3 baskets of laundry in our closet for him alone - one for darks, one for whites, one for dry cleaning - and yet his still clothes manage to end up on the floor

Um.... oh, and he is always eating food and putting them back in the refrigerator without any tin foil or saran rap. So in the morning when I am half asleep looking for half and half I will find a half-eaten quiche or pie with a FORK in it, with crumbs all over the place!

I won't even go INTO how many times I scrub the toilet per week! That's a major TMI!
