I am going to be on my feet quite often at my new job. Does anyone have suggestions for shoe brands that will be comfortable to stand in for long periods of time, but look nice enough to wear with suits?
I have tried Aerosoles, but am looking elsewhere as well.

No. I'm that person who wears their sneakers all day. (Mind you I'm technically breaking dress code, but whatever!)

One of my more comfortable pair of boots is actually from Payless - check there...standing in heels all day is gonna $uck though, so maybe try to wear flats! Or get padded insoles.

Although I sit most of the day, so maybe I am no help, but I usually wear ballet flats or flat boots to work. Aldo has comfy/cute flats.

I am on my feet all day and have two brand that I like
bjorn has 1 or 2 nice shoes but a lot look kind of orthopedic. .like you wouldn't wear with a skirt suit but would be fine with pants suits
then clarks makes a few nice dress shoes too. . if you look around.
I think the above two are actually both part of the same company but still have different brands
i also think some aerosoles are nice

I have a really bad back and am on my feet all day, I swear by Bjorn. I agree a lot of them are a bit orthodic looking but there are some new styles out that I saw on Zappos that are really really cute!

I searched on Zappos, and see a brand called 'Born' (no 'J'). Is this the same?

Aerosoles makes some cute shoes too! SOme look like oldl ady shoes, but some are cute and oh so comfy!

CLARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are *amazing* as far as comfort goes and they actually have a ton of nice styles now a days that are totally work appropriate. The soles of the shoes are softer than usual -- they held up when I used to work arraignments for 8 hours on my feet (sometimes longer when night court ran late).

I'm not sure about with suits but I have a pair of Diesel's that feel like sneakers but look dressy. I hope you find something comfortable though proper foot wear is important

Late reply..but I just got 3 pairs by Merrell from DSW by Roosevelt Field. They are all really cute, and they breathe (and have anti-stink technology!)!I went to the podiatrist for the first time and found out just how messed up my feet are...so I spent a lot of time there trying stuff on...I bought 3 different sized shoes as well- 7, 7.5, and 8. It depended on the shoe. Make sure your toes have enough room- that's more important than your heel sliding around- you can always get inserts for that...but my toes are so messed up from being squeezed into shoes in the past just so that my heel would be secure. Remember that there is no such thing as breaking in a shoe! Good luck!
