I had heard of some of these companies were having trouble. So the President, thinks those little checks he is sending is to, stir up the economy, Ha! With gas prices up the wahzoo, people can't go and buy anything. And those little checks, most people are going to pay their credit cards, camps or even use for gas to get to work and back. Also, the companies have to pay for gas, (diesel! at that) to get the products to the consumers, who can't afford to go to start to get them! The 10% that are wealthy, can not run the trucks, businesses, school buses, restaurants or anything that requires gas and money to continue the movement of cities, towns etc. The basics is what the majority are looking at. Selling, buying is the natural way of moving and living for each other. So each of us can live and enjoy life. ....Sorry for the 'going on'.... This President has put this youngest and powerful nation on its knees and now has to, needs to get up to regroup, repair, relearn for it's own survival and love of its people and country.

Re: Companies going bankrupt?
is it 'real' bankkruptcy or a play for more time? So many airlines declare intent to fle for bankruptcy ans nothign happens. they might eb trying to reirganize from within. if any of these start shutting down major stores in diff areas then be worried. Thats what happened when i worked for FAO-they started with the smaller mall stored and worked their way down the line.
Until then i wouldn't be too worried.
