cooking question...how many days in advance can i make.....??

cooking question...how many days in advance can i make.....??

wanted to get a head start on the cooking, but im wondering how many days in advance i can make things without ruining the taste

okay, here is the list - so far...... (still adding to it)

*apple pie
*kit kat cake
*sauteed spinach
*sauteed broccoli with feta and tomatoes (and other stuff, not sure...this is DH's dish)
*spinach and ricotta lasagna with garlic tomato sauce
*baked brie with apricot preserves

The apple pie and the lasagna can be made in advance. I actually prefer reheated lasagna over fresh. Sauteed spinach only takes about 10 minutes to make, so I would make that fresh. I don't know about other stuff. HTH!

The desserts I would make the day before.
The lasagna I'd say you can make early, freeze it, and then thaw it out and re-bake.
Baked brie I usually prepare mine the night before but I don't bake it until it needs to be.
The sauteed spinach and broccoli I would do on the spot.

You could definitely make and freeze your baked brie and lasagna up to a week in advance. I made my baked brie on Saturday for this Friday and it is in the freezer. It doesn't need to be thawed either.
