Cost of your wedding EDITED New Ques on Bottom

What do you include? I have noticed people include different things.

Every penny that we paid out, including trials.

eta : very close to budget, just went a bit over because I spent more on flowers. Under budget for the dress and accessories !

when asking what WE(dh & i) paid, i include everything down to the honeymoon.. except for my attire because my mom wanted to pay for that..
I always give my mom credit...and then say 'add in everything i wore and then it'll bring it to this much'

to me the cost of the wedding is the cost of everything...some people choose to leave things off like the honeymoon..but we don't. we paid for our honeymoon as part of our wedding..so to me 'everything' makes sense.

lol thanks. but i had unrealistic expectations of what the wedding would cost in the beginning. I remember thinking I would get a wedding gown for $600 I wish my dress cost that

Everything...trials, bras, honeymoon, etc.

We came in on budget actually. We were over at one point but had alot of OOTers rsvp no that we thought would come!

when I tally up the total cost of the wedding, I basically count everything. During the whole process I had a chart where I'd write down everything spent at the time that I did (just to keep track) and that included not only the big things (like the hall, photographer, DJ) but EVERYTHING. Even the disposable cameras we put on the table, the favors, hair/makeup, even tips.

And to answer the second question - we didn't really set a budget that we could not exceed. We were very tight on money, so I think our goal was to spend as little as possible in giving me the wedding of my dreams. lol. We had kind of an 'idea' tho of how much it would roughly cost and we went over that by a few thousand. But it was no biggie. We did a really good job with shopping around and getting what we wanted for less. I still consider it a very successful wedding!! Exactly what I'd always dreamed of, and we weren't even put in debt. lol. We owe nobody anything yay!!

we totally blew our budget

worth it
if i could go back id probably find ways to spend even more!

ETS: we had a budget for like 1 day then we booked the RH and Angelica Glass and blew it

We never really had a budget. We just went with what we liked and NEGOTIATED the c rap out of everything. DH is the best at it..ever.

I include everything from the RH right down to the stamps, BP Gifts and cocktail napkins.

Let's just say its closer to the 6 figure range which is friggin obsurd. I could be living very nicely if we just did an all inclusive place or something. Nauseating

we included everything, including wedding rings, HM, trials, all postage. we had a figure we wanted to stick to, but not an exact budget. we went over a little bit, but we def did not blow the budget.

We didn't really have a budget. I don't think I ever tallied up everything lol. But when I think of the cost, I think of everything including the tips for everyone. One thing we didn't pay for was my dress. My aunt paid for my dress which was so generous and thoughtful of her.

me too, includes everything, wedding bands, dress, honeymoon, everything!

We actually doubled our budget too.

I would include everything. I never started with a budget. I just asked for the price and it was feasible. I really don't want to calculate everything because I really dont want to know what we spent, although I may have an idea.
