I don't know the best ones but DH and I just went on the Golden Princess for our HM and it was amazing. The ship was beautiful, the food and service were excellent. We loved it.

Re: cruise lines?

The new huge royal carribbean ships are great. We went on a week long last year and had a great time.

Ive been on Carnival several times. Both were fun but not quite as good as RCCL in my opinion.

Ive been on the Norweigan Sea and that was the worst trip Ive ever taken (cruise or not). I would strongly advice against that one.

Re: cruise lines?

thanks Steph! ill look into it!!! DH is a teacher, and we want to go in May, so he can't take a full week... we will probably do one for 4-5 days I think. Any great ports we should check out? Also, how much extra money does it end up being in excurisions and alcohol and everythgtin?

Our ships played tag the entire week!!! Too bad we didn't run into one another.

Re: cruise lines?

The excursions and alcohol really add up if you are a big drinker and want to do an excursion each port. We don't drink much so our bill for drinks was very reasonable...but I got a massage and we went on excursions and we gambled and bought a few thing, upgraded our room, etc. The total was well over $1K..maybe even $2K.

But if you dont want to spend as much, you can get away with spending a lot less. The only thing you really need to get is drinks (non alcoholic are not included either). The RCCL ship was so fun, we didnt really need to leave it.

Yes we were on RCCL's Adventure of the Seas, the cruise itself was great. I did not care for the service we received on the ship at all. But you are right, the weather was just fantastic. The water did get a little choppy, but not bad at all.

Re: cruise lines?

We went on Celebrity for our honeymoon and we thought it was GREAT! I had been on Celebrity, RC, and Carnival, and Celebrity IMO was the best of all. JMO
