Danfords & Heritage Inn at Port Jeff. Anyone stay here?

I am trying to figure out if we should stay in the village at Port Jeff or at the Holiday Inn Express in Centereach. The prices for Heritage & Holiday are pretty close and I am wonderring if it would be nicer for myself and OT guests to stay in Port Jeff. Any thoughts....particularly on Danford's is it worth the money?? Which rooms would you recommend?? I appreciate your expert opinions

stay at THE HOLIDAY INN!!!

A few friends stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, it was very nice...they have a pool, nice continental breakfast.

I also had 5 BMs stay at the Heritage Inn because it was about $10-20 cheaper a night...NOT WORTH IT, the place was kind of gross...the 'non-smoking' rooms smelled like smoke. It's a good location, but the Holiday Inn Express is soooooooo much nicer!

My friends who were concerned about saving the money (and stayed at the Heritage) Now say they should've spent the extra $$$ to be comfortable at the Holiday Inn.

One more thing...I used to work at Danford's, and I recently took a tour of the rooms to see if anything has changed...Definately NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

I stayed at Danford's the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding.I wasn't impressed at all. Parking was a nightmare, (a wedding was going on ) we didn't get our bottle of champange on our wedding night .Also when we got back from the wedding they had done a terrible job cleaning the room .Before I left for the wedding I had put the garbage in one spot so they could take it (all the plastic and tissue paper for the gown and veil, empty boxes etc.) and it was all still there when we got back.They never vaccumed the room either.I called to complain but they didn't care ,they were like oh well.
I just thought the service would be much better for Danford's and what they charge .
