Does DH have a strong opinion when it comes to decorating your home, or does he sit back and let you make the decisions?
DH and I similar taste in SOME things, but disagree with others. I usually go out shopping look for what I like for the house, either buy it take it home and show it to him where it would go, or bring him back to the store to show him and then we get it. When we first got married he was SOOO picky, he's since let me make most of the decorating decisions.. lol thank goodness!

dh loves interior decorating! We were both home for a few days last week and did some spring cleaning. We also changed a few of the rugs that we had. I usually agree with his style, but i'll speak up if I really don't like something. He actually went out one morning and bought new peel and stick tile for the kitchen. At first i was a little annoyed that he picked it out without me, but it ended up looking great! Since he really enjoys it, and has a better eye for that stuff than i do, i usually go along with what he picks!

We have similar taste...which is great bc both of us have wacky taste (like our white leather couch that EVERYONE we know thought we nuts to buy)

ETA: we rent an apartment now, so i'm sure i'll want to be more involved when we own something!

Yea we did this for awhile.. But DH has the patience of a 3 year old boy when it comes to shopping! lol The only thing he really enjoyed shopping for the house was for the sectional and big screened TV. lol

For the most part, DH let's me do what I want in terms of decorating as long as I don't get too 'girlie'.

my friends dh is like that! Only she's a shopaholic and she'll say to me 'if Mike says anything about this, just look at him like he's crazy and tell him that its always been there!'

I do it all. I let him know my ideas. Sometimes he raises an eyebrow, but I've done everything so far and I just remind him about that because he really likes what I've done.

Dh is a graphic designer, he likes a lot of color. We haven't yet fully decorated our current place due to the fact that we : 1. haven't had the money 2. haven't had time
But I know we have some good ideas and plans for the future. We do most of the thinking and looking together.

DH has great taste; he is more of the one who chooses the products (well we both do equally) but I am the one who decorates

she bought this huge blue and white ceramic rooster once, about a few weeks later he noticed it and we were like 'duh, thats been there for years'

we're in the process of renovating our house, and DH is leaving most of the decisions up to me, but i always ask him what he likes. he keeps saying it's all up to me, but when i suggested painting the living room/dining rooom an olive green color, he said no way, so it's ultimately our decision - i just have to show him what i like, and get a yay or nay from him.
if we have a girl, he will have NO say in what her room looks like though. we were at the paint shop, and he picked out a bright fucshia color saying that would be perfect. yeah, i'm glad it's me picking out the colors and not him.

When DH was a bachelor his apartment was so stylish. I used to make fun of him for that - how everything matched (he even had matching CANDLES on display). haha. And there was a 'theme' for his bedroom also. So needless to say, when we got married and moved into a house together, he had a lot to say about the way we decorated. My old bedroom at home really didn't match at all. I just put whatever I liked in there with absolutely no color scheme OR theme. lol. I just didn't care, as long as it looked nice and was comfortable to live in.
So yeah - it's more of DH who's into the decorating than me. He just knows what looks good. I have no idea why he does and I don't.

We have an interior designer who we have been working with for the past year and a half .
She picks everything based on both of our tastes and finds things that we both love and then we decide

def TOGETHER - we both LOVE picking stuff out and we have very similair taste - and if not we compromise.......we haven't done too much in our apartment though.....DH has great style and i think i do too
