Re: Surprise party?????

Some bars restaraunts have great deals on dinner parties. If you use a bar, they usually have a sound sysytem you can use or hook an Ipod up to. I know a few friends have used the Horse and Jockey in Smithtown for parties and loved it there.

Or you can use a Knights of Columbus, maybe ask 2-3 friends to make some easy dishes like ziti, chiz parm, penne ala vodka. You can get rolls, cake and some chips and dip from Costco.

There are many ideas for a party, let me know what direction you wanted to go in and I can brainstorm some more.

We had our RD at Jackie Reilly's - LOVED IT!!!!! The price was around 30pp for a sit down dinner. 28 for a buffet! If you don't want to include alcohol - it's cheaper!

Re: Surprise party?????

I threw DH's surprise 30th almost 2 years ago at a bowling alley and it was AWESOME!!
I had about 40 of our friends, had it catered and had the lanes at one side blocked off for us!
Everyone said they had such a great time!!!

What an awesome idea! I'm trying to plan something for DH's 30th bday, too. Did you have it on LI?

No I actually had in CT where we both lived at the time.
You can do it any bowling alley, I think having something like that at Strike in Lake Success would be cool!
