DH Help with Thank Yous?
just curious if your DH helped w TYs. this is just not his thing (not that i love it) but i dont mind too much & i'll get them done quickly plus he did help w the labels but does it look bad to his side if i write them instead of him? do you think anyone would even notice?

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
MY DH does them with me - but he needs LOTS of guidance! I don't think his relatives would think it was weird if they are in your handwriting. I think lots of brides do all of them. Actually, we're starting writing the TYs to our friends tonight.

I did all of ours except for his siblings. It was just easier.

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
He usually signs his name. On a few--family and his close friends, he has written a little note.

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
DH says its my job to do them!
He also says if I don't do them, they won't get done. I told him I'll do my family and friends and he should do his. He insists he's not doing them so I guess his family won't get any.
Of course I'll write to his family - it just bugs me that he honestly believes its the woman's job.

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
i responded 'both' but it definitely wasn't a 50/50 split -- more like 90/10 (can you guess who the 90 was?)
eta: DH did the ones for his friends and immediate family.

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
I haven't done them yet, but I swore after doing all TY's for engagement gifts and shower gifts that he WILL be helping to do the TY's from the wedding! (Haven't told him yet though)

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
I did them all. Dh has the ugliest handwriting, I would have been mortified to give our family stuff written by him!!

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
He actually did more than me because his family had many more guests. It was more personal for the guests this way...And I'm super busy so they wouldn't have been done without him! They were sent a couple of weeks ago...

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
he did everyone on his side. slightly less than half but still a big help to me. we kept it simple though, i basically gave him one to copy and we wrote the same thing in every card.

Re: DH Help with Thank Yous?
I said both although I did most of them, a few each night while he was working nights. There were some people that I didn't even know or hardly knew that I told him he had to do!Not just the womans job
God how I hate that term!!!!!!

DH's Solution: we have a 6 hr car ride this wknd and he suggested i do them in the car so he can tell me what to write. carsickness and sloppiness aside, i guess its better than nothing

Same here - but it took him sooooo long to finish. I bought him a little present when he did!
