We both use the same eye doctor and he went today for his own exam and I have been mentioning that I need to go. Well he set up an appt for me and just called me to tell me he did.
I know that it was a sweet gesture, but why didn't he just call me from the dr's office and ask me when I wanted to go?

It's a sweet guesture, but I can totally understand where your coming from. He should have called to see if the date was good for you. I'd probably be annoyed that he didnt call me 1st but at the same time I'd thank him for thinking of me.

I completely understand where you are coming from - your eyes, your time, your appointment yet I cannot get over how sweet it was of him to think of you and make an appointment for you so that you wouldn't have to take the time to do it. He probably thought he was doing the right thing.

Don't get me wrong, it was very sweet. But I don't understand why he couldn't have just picked up the phone and asked me what time I wanted to go.
He is such a sweetie, I guess he was excited to be able to do something like that for me now that he is my husband.

I think that's probably the case. As my husband is repeatedly proving to me.. men are dolts at times.
Just be happy it wasn't it a gyno appt.

I completely agree with you - I like to manage my own time- DH & I have very different ways of thinking when it comes to time-management But you are right, the whole 'now I am your husband and I can' is probably what he was thinking (I meant that in a good way) .. Already DH has done things for me that surprised me and when asked he says 'I'm your husband now, I can help/do it for you/enter appropriate saying here.' like he just wants to make sure I am happy and to show how 'helpful' he is, it's cute.

I think I would do of embarrassment if he did that, unless it is when we eventually get pregnant. Then it would be okay.

But I might not understand since, I won't ever have that problem! My DH hates dr's and only goes if I drag him so there's no chance of that happening for me....
