I am so upset. Dh lost his ring in the ocean at Fire island. We looked as best we could for it...his friends even got out scuba gear and checked in the water. But it is gone for good. Dh feels really bad about it too. I know I can replace it, but it is the sentimental value that has me most upset. I just cant seem to get over it yet.

Dh stayed down by the shore for hours after it happened, he wouldnt stop looking. We are both so upset.

you should get him another ring and stop by wher you were married and exchange it there
or you can ask a priest or rev to bless both rings ....it might help both of you feel like this one could be sentimental as well

Believe me when i say we understand...we included my daughter in our ceremony...got her a tiny diamond ring...well, in the middle of the reception she came up to us and was like, 'mommy, i can't find my ring!' she lost hers in a little under 3 hours...don't know if that made you feel any better.

aww that stinks!! dh lost his on the 3rd day of the honeymoon... he took a sailboat out at the resort by himself, because i just wanted to sit and read. the sailboat caught bad wind and flipped, he went into the water and his ring fell off i was upset... but i just thought about what else could have happened and i was just glad that he was ok. we replaced it with the exact same ring when we got back, and its fine.

My DH lost his ring at Ocean beach too a few years ago. He had a habit of losing his ring. I almost thought it was a hobby. I found it in the sand close to the surf. But he ended up losing it again for good another time.
Everyone should be leaving the rings at home or in a safe place when they are going to be in the water. Your fingers shrink and the rings slip off.

I cant believe how many of our men lost their rings! WOW Well, I am waiting for the jeweler to get his new ring. I am still sad, but I am trying to get over it.

My husband lost his ring last weekend too! At the Jersey shore......there was no way we were going to find it. I was so sad! We got him a new one on Monday and we're going to get it blessed by the priest again.
