Dh says our marriage..

..is a ginx (sp?). It all began on our wedding night. Remember, we were in the hospital getting stiches for his chin; him and a buddy were messing around.

And now this, his broken femur.

What's next??

Is our marriage a ginx? Why are we being put through all these challenges so early in our marriage?

Don't even think for a second that your marriage is a jinx. It is called the Normalcy (sp) of life. We all go through many trials to test our love! It is part of being adults & a marriage

Don't even let him joke about that!!!!!! Your marriage is not a jinx, you were married on the best day ever!!!!!!

Every couple goes through some difficult things, be glad that you have each other to go through them with!! And maybe you're getting all of your hardships out of the way now so that it'll be easier in the future!!

Finally, tell him to be more careful when he's messing around with friends or jumping off of boats!!!!!!!! These accidents are simply a coincidence, they cannot be blamed on your marriage!!!!!

I think waterspout4 has had some wacky adventures of her own since she got married. Some people are broke, some get sick, some break bones....all these things will make for good laughs someday and bring you closer together.

Oh yes I have!!!! I even posted what happened to us in our first 100 days of marriage. It included many hospital trips. (Luckily, most happened while the other was at work, otherwise people would be asking questions.) And yesterday I broke my toe. Remember........ in sickness and in health. I guess that's why 'sickness' comes first in the vows.

I tried walking around a case of water. Everything made it but the pinky toe. It hurts, but I'm laughing about it. This is what needs to be done, finding your sense of humor about things.

Think about all the people that are less fortunate than you and it makes you realize you really have it good.

We have only been married for 81 days today and there have been 3 trips to the hospital.

1) The night of our wedding: 2 broken teeth and 7 stiches to the chin.

2) Doctor visit to Room 207 in Bora Bora Tahiti: Swollen ankle.

3) ER visit: Broekn femur: surgery.

Right before our wedding he ended up in the ER because he drilled his hand while making a DIY project.

I hope it gets better!!!

Sweetie don't ever think your marriage is a jinx. Believe me at first I was thinking the same thing, my DH broke his ring finger 3 weeks before the wedding, we found out my FIL had an aneurysm right before the wedding date, my MIL fell and was rushed to the hospital on our wedding night (right before she was about to dance with my DH) she fell and slipped on the dancefloor because someone had spilled a drink she ended up dislocated her shoulder, on the HM my DH's eye had swelled up because he got bit by something there, when we returned from our HM I had a very bad stomach virus which caused me to end up in the hospital last but not least my DH ended up in the hospital because of a stomach virus so it's been a rollacoaster but these many obstacles only make marriages stronger so as bad as they may seem they are bringing the best out of your relationship and making it stronger because at that point you can say you got thru just about everything together and are still going strong.

Wow Jackie! Talk about in good time and in bad, in sickness and in health? No one ever said that they were all supposed to be tested in the same week! That is crazy but you are right.....it showed how strong your relationship was and how true your love was. No matter what, you were there for eachother to help get through it!

It happens. But it totally stinks when it does because you only hear about marital bliss. Have a sense of humor. Even put a smiley face on the cast!!! If you want to talk, I'm here, FM me. You might be the only other bride that deals with the hospital trips like we do. You have to put things in perspective.....

For instance, I'm happy that I broke my toe now instead of when I'm pregnant. Little victories!!!!!!!
