DH the crazy sleeper

So Im in the living room typing away and I hear DH screaming GET OFF ME in the room. I ran in there and he's sitting up in a daze asking me, 'WHERE DID YOU GO?' Then he lies back down into a deep sleep. UGH I hate when he does that it scares the crap outta me!!!

I know! I want him to go because i think he has sleep apnea and that scares me. I listen to his breathing while hes sleeping and it sounds abnormal at times where he'll stop breathing and then snort when he finally does. Like a snore. Im gonna make him talk to our doc soon.

Re: DH the crazy sleeper

My DH regularly jumps out of a deep sleep to alert me that he smells smoke and our house is on fire. Seriously its like at least 2x a month. Its so bad that I ignore him now, I hope it never happens for real because I'll be burnt to a little crisp by the time they find me.
Me, crispy-->

opposite problem here he is a light sleeper - everything bothers him he tosses and turns and um......

guess what ladies - I can't even pas gas w/out him knowing he sits right up in bed when this happens
Thankfully he doesn't go to the corner and pout about it

We are like two peas in a pod

Well, yeah, but I neglected to mention that he's actually sleep-jumping; so he's not really 'AWAKE' at all, he's DREAMING the house is in flames and we're trapped. Hence the from me. I used to try to talk him down, now I just let him run from room to room in his skivvies looking for the source of the 'fire'.

YEP!!! 2x a month, it may be some kind of stress/exhaustion related thing, I'm not sure!!!
It scared me the first year we were together but now its like 'ok babe, i'll be right there.'

No I meant your (plural) pod, you and DH, the 'collective' pod. Whch might be stinky if you're passing gas while DH sleeps...
I didn't mean 'your '(singular) Gemmifer pod, which I'm sure is delightful and probably pink and covered in vintage fabrics.

Ooo that's a good point, I should look at a dream interpreter site!!
But you know no matter WHAT dream you try to analyze they ALWAYS answer that its about a loss of freedom/death/inability to commit to something!!!

Definitely true. theyd probably say it was a fear of death but I was watching the Oprah with the guy who wrote Many lives Many Masters. Hes a therapist who hypnotizes his patients with terrible phobias and in their hypnosis they tell him what year it was when something happened and where it happened and everything. One woman told him something terrvible happened some place in the 1700s that isnt even on the map anymore. He did research and found an old map with this country on it. It was freaky!

Is he tired when he wakes up? If so it most likely is apnea. FIL finally went to the doctor after months of sleeping for hours and still being tired (and snoring SOO loud) and the did a sleep test on him and they said he was never falling into REM sleep and was technically 'waking up' like 10 times an hour, he is now on a machine thingie that helps him breathe thru the nigth and he says that the first time he used it and woke up it was the BEST sleep he can remember getting.
