Ok well my plan to take him to vegas looks like it wont work out since that weekend on sunday he has to go away for work so that ruined everything. Some ppl said to do it the week before or week after but its hard considering he'll go away for work and then to go away right before or after its too much time he'll be away from work right now and its busy. Plus i dont think i should take a day off or 2 right now either. If it wasnt for him going away for work i couldve made it work grrrr
So now I am trying to think of Plan B, so thinking I should throw a party. I dont want a catering hall type party or that type of thing. I was thinking of a few things and one thing that came to mind is throwing a party in a suite. I automatically thought of the suite we got for Helen's bachelorette party since it was very spacious, 3 bedrooms, plus 2 1/2 bath, had a separate kitchen area, and very big living room that even has a dining room area it goes right into but can take out that table or put it off to the side and put food on it, and wrap around balcony, i think it was 1500 square feet total either that or it was the other suite that says 2200 sq feet. I dont know if i should keep thinking of other ideas or would this be good? Ive seen parties at a suite go well and then seen it also where it can get boring, but i think i would invite a decent amount, plus maybe get some sort of entertainment lol. But i want it to be real special and good, and just wonder if this would turn out good or not. Maybe do AC and this way invite his friends too since maybe more ppl can go if its closer.
OR other option is to do a big dinner, lets say at buddakan and get the huge table in the middle for everybody, get a table at a club somewhere after or something similar and spend more on a gift for him.

I like the idea of the suite bc it sounds like your inviting a lot of people so you wont have to worry about exact numbers like at a restaurant which is so much easier
you know what that is a very good point, this way whoever shows up shows up and i dont have to worry about paying extra if somebody doesnt or trying to organize a bunch of ppl at a restaurant.

In the city right? that would be awesome, i'll definitley let you know. I prefer to get it in the city so this way i wont have to carry alot of food with me and can probably even get them to deliver it to me, thank you

I am actually doing a surprise 30th for my DH (Jan 24) Have you thought of a theme?
I am doing a chinese theme. He loves sushi so I am getting that, and making chinese food..printed so many recipes. I ordered fortune cookies, chopsticks, dragons, a cake which looks like a sushi plate...lol
I think if you do a restuarant maybe you can plan to all head out to a lounge afterwards so everyone can dance.
I did like the Pocono's idea, but will there be space for everyone...will his friends mind the drive?
dh does love sushi so i'd have to get some lol. But i was thinking of also getting belly dancers, still gotta think about that lol. I would love to do a casino theme, he would love that. I dont know have to really think about this.

Yes, in the city and they deliver. They are amazing. I hire them all the time for our events and they have very nice presentation. I did an appetizer/wine party for one of my clients. I ordered food from this caterer and had wine delivered from a local wine shop in the city. They also have regular alcohol as well that they can deliver... FM me if you're interested and I'll put together all the info!

its funny bc for me its the opposite, i dont want a big party for my 30th lol so i will tell him next year NOT to do this for me lol. I think i'd rather go somewhere or do something more low key lol

Bellydancers are awesome and I am sure your guest will enjoy it. You can get 2 different girls. I'm doing a chinese theme birthday party....just simple, chinese food, drinks, music, his and my friends. I'm getting him a pinata...lol
