DH's bday gift

So my IL's aren't just strange to me - but also DH. Look what they sent their son for his birthday!



Yes, it's a picture of a freakin' hawk!! My heart broke for him when he opened up the box. FIL took the picture himself and they bought a frame at walmart and put it in there. When he opened the box and saw it was a picture, he got all excited and said 'it's probably a picture of us from the wedding' - WRONG!!! They sent him a bird!!!!

The best part - they know I have a fear of birds and are always making fun of me for it. Nice, huh?

DH insisted on hanging it up - it is now hanging in our oil burner room.

A 'EFFIN HAWK!!!!! ***?!?!?! And the worst part is they know you are scared of birds. OMG. What a bunch of WEIRDOS!

omg!!!!!!! this is what u do..

1.break the glass
2.get a box
3.rip up the picture of the bird
4.pace all peices in the box and mail it to in laws
5.attach a note..as a thank you we got you a puzzle

OMG Gina! That's great. I was going to send MIL this for her birthday in a couple of weeks

Your ILs are really something. I feel bad for your DH but ... was he expecting something like this?

Just take it with a grain of salt and make sure you get him something better. Like a framed picture of the cat you posted in this thread.

He usually refers to their gifts as 'the box of disappointment' but I think this time really threw him for a loop - I mean who EXPECTS a picture of a hawk!

I just keep cracking up over it.
