Did any of the things you registered for get discontinued yet??
I just checked my fortunoff registry because I couldnt remember how many more formal flatware place settings I needed and it's discountinued already!! BOO Kate Spade flatware!!!!

I had orginally registered for Kate Spade flatware, and was actually notified by Fortunoff's that it had been discontinued. Luckily it was at a point where not much had come off the registry. We were able to find Balthrsoul (sp?) flatware that was very similar to what we had originally registered for.

Our silverware did and we've managed to lose a fork. I am not happy!

we looked at kate spade but were told by the sales rep at fortunoff that they discontinue/change her patterns so frequently so we did not get them becuase of that.

Fortunately I was able to buy the last 2 placesettings, but I wish they notified me! I just used the flatware for the first time on xmas eve. If I knew it was discontinued, I would have returned it all and picked something else. Oh well!!

Yup, but I've been married over a year now.
One thing that IRKED THE HELL OUT OF ME is that my crystal was 'redesigned'
The old sku numbers were marked as discontinued. So, when my MIL tried to buy some for me for XMAS, she was told that it's discontinued. Another sales girl was able to get her some of the 'redesigned' glasses, but there is a subtle difference between the old and the new. (long story short: the cuts in the glasses used to be concave and now they are convex)
I am suprised at the things that haven't gotten discontinued yet- some spatulas, an ironing board, the towels, (all the stuff that I was hoping to get on sale by now )

A few things were discontinued right after I registered. It wasn't anything major and I changed my registry.
My bedding was discontinued recently. I bought the last thing I needed just as that was happening.
Our casual and formal china were a pattern that was so new when we picked it, so it is more avaiable now than it was!!!!

I had a few things get discontinued while I was engaged, but I received emails from Fortunoff telling me.
Not a major inconvenience, just glad I knew.

My bedding. And boy was that a hassle. Macy's said they could get me the last few pieces, then they couldn't, then they could, then they couldn't. And of course no one else carried it.
I ended up just giving up on the missing pieces. They were only decorative pillows after all, but I would've liked to have them.

My towels were discontinued before my shower invitations went out! And my bedding is in the process of being discontinued, so I was unable to purchase the matching curtains.

Nothing major or really important, but most of the stuff we registered for at Target got discontinued.
FYI, if you need more flatware, there's a GREAT store here in NC called Replacements. www.replacements.com It's only a few miles from my house, and they often buy up the remaining stock of discontinued patterns, be it china, flatware or crystal. It's not necessarily discounted--expect to pay about what you would have in the stores, but you can at least fill any gaps. Hope this helps!
