Did any of you not freeze their cake????

We didn't because Mike told me right off the bat that he would NOT eat anything thats been sitting in the freezer for a year So I just kept it for a while, I think we had a piece of it one day, took pictures of it and tossed it...I felt bad but why am I going to have it sit in my freezer for no reason...to be thrown out a year later anyway?

What is your reason why you threw it out?

We didn't. We knew that we would be moving at least 2x during our first year so decided to give it to my parents who were having company over the day after our wedding.

We did. Our anniversary was last week...we defrosted it and had a little....it wasn't bad, just a little soggy. Gave some to the dog, took some pictures, then tossed the rest.

We did, but I plan on taking it out.
I am not going to eat a cake that has been frozen for a year. I figured we'd eat it now and i'll save a piece for next September. If it's bad we will throw it away.

well, i didnt even think about what happened to our cake until like 2 days after the wedding. i asked dh if the hall gave us the top of our cake, and thats when he realized he left it in minifridge at our night of hotel lol. we werent too concerned though, i know its tradition and all, but i couldnt see us eating 1 year old cake anyways.

we got married in NY but live in charlotte. We left for the honeymoon 2 days after the wedding...so no, we do not have our cake.....oh well, I will go to the bakery and get a mini wedding cake on our anniversary and we will light our unity candles

What is your reason why you threw it out?

we actually had a brunch the day after for close fam and friends and we all ate it, i just said it would taste disgusting after a year so might as well enjoy it while its fresh

i had the top part of the cake and dit taste just as good as it did on our wedding day. it all goes by how u freeze it

no i didnt freeze the cake top. i wouldnt have been able to bring it with me after the move.

We at most of our top layer but we did freeze one pice for our month and one piece for our one year.

I didn't - eating one year old cake grosses me out. We'll get a fresh cake for our one year anniversary.

I didnt....I ate it the next day with DH and my parents....and the rest we did freeze but i will definately eat before 1 yr anniversary!!!

I wanted to throw it out. I think it is kind of gross to eat it a year later. It wasn't that good the first time! It's in DH's parents' freezer because they took it home for us after the wedding and I keep 'forgetting' to take it back from them!

We werent planning on it.. it kinds of grosses me out. I have thing with Left overs...

But I did want to take it home for my sister to eat it and my BIL dropped it in the Limo - she was so mad at her DH, I was cracking up. Way to end the the night
