Did anyone change their mind about...

...when they want to start TTC after they got married? DH and I were dead set on not trying until about 3-5 years, and now we're thinking just waiting a year might be a good plan.

Anyone else change their minds??

Well unfortunately for DH & I we wanted to ttc & actually did on teh first try about 8 months after our wedding. But we lost the baby & now we decided to start trying again about june/july.

nope my mind was set from the begining, i want babies asap! LOL its just my husband who hasnt changed his mind, which is kinda forcing me to wait a little longer than i really wanted! lol

its all good tho! when it happends it happends!

Nope we knew going in that we were going to try right away due to my age

DH & I are still pretty young, and we've said from the beginning that we want to be financially secure before we have kids (and have a house)- and we're on a 5 year plan for that...
We want to take our time and enjoy ourselves...and travel!

Well as I keep hearing of more and more teachers are getting laid off.... Brentwood, East Islip, LIndenhurst, South Brunswick, NJ... we are now thinking maybe we should move to CT in the fall and I should have kids before I try for the job.

We still won't discuss it until fall, we want a year of being married to each other before taking that next step, but were starting to talk about it.

Depending upon where we are in the house hunt by then..I think we might TTC when I start my student teaching next Sept. That way i would have the baby in June (DH is a teacher )

We changed our mind in the opposite direction...before we were engaged and during our engagement we just figured we'd let nature take its course...not exactly TRY, but not prevent either. Now I'm panicking and we're really not ready for it (I'm very young, and DH THINKS he's very young ) so we will probably wait around 2 years. I'll still be well under 30, so it should be fine, god willing.

We originally said I was going to stay on BC till our year anniversary. But after we got married we decided I should come off sooner. I stopped taking BC about 2 months ago and Im so glad I did because I've been having super long cycles and I dont think I've been ovulating.......sorry if thats TMI

im going off next month! im kinda nervous abuot it! im soo afraid that im gong to break out, my cycles are going to be wackey! and im going to have it for our vacation this summer and i wont be able to 'skip it' like i would if i were on the pill!

Its funny you sait the thing about breaking out because I have one huge zit on my cheek!!! My skin has been fine since going off BC, but AF should be here anyday now (I hope!! Im on CD 31! Last month my cycle was 48 days long)
Im also a little worried about having my period for my vacation but I also had it on my HM so cant be any worse then that!

We have changed our mind a few times. First we said 2 yrs, then we started almost right away and now i'm saying 5 yrs.

One of the reasons I am not trying until after summer.

We did! We said we wanted to wait at least a year and start ttc after our one year anniversary. Well we changed our minds and started trying after 7 months, and got pregnant the month after. I wouldn't change it for the world.

eta: For you ladies who are going to start trying or have gone off birth control I highly recommend a book 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' It is awesome and I recommend it for all woman of any age trying to get pregnant, or trying to avoid pregnancy. Defin check it out.

We change our minds a lot. We both wanted to wait 2-3 years before the wedding but now we're talking about starting this summer, a little over 1 year from the wedding. DH all of a sudden became baby crazy too and I was so not expecting it, lol. I went off BC to see how my cycles are and I'm glad I did because I'm having MAJOR issues and I'm going to have some tests done next month to see what's wrong.
