did anyone else have a difficult time getting used to your new last name?

I'm having trouble adjusting. I'm okay with changing my name, but it still feels weird.

I think it will be better once the name change is processed at work and with the bar association b/c then I won't be using my maiden name at all... but in the interim, it's sort of surreal.

ETA - I think part of my problem is that I went from a VERY simple, 2-syllable last name to a 5 syllable Italian last name that no one can pronounce. Everyone in DH's family pronounces it differently! (Seriously! They even leave out at least one syllable when they say it)

YES totally! I can't get used to a new name at all... and I didn't even change it officially! Whenever anyone calls me by my married name, I love it but it feels really weird!

Yes-I stutter when asked my name...its really hard to remember that I have a new name

Not at all, I just don't write it very nicely.I'm not used to a Z in my last name.

I was having a hard time, but once I started teaching the new name got drilled into my mind since all the kids call me it.

my last name hardly changed at all. needless to say i havent changed it on anything! lack of motivation! i just feel like i am loosing a tiny peice of myself....just a tiny tiny tiny bit! but i love dhs last name, now my name its just an adjustment.
