did anyone feel 'off' post honeymoon
Dont get me wrong - I LOVE married life...but we both feel kinda 'off' since a few weeks after the honeymoon.Im not sure why? Maybe we are having a hard time finding our new 'reality' like every day routine - since before the wedding things were so crazy?
Our chemistry is off, that's all - anyone else experience this?

I remember it was kind of surreal, like we were going through the motions...It did pass though I think it was a combo of the pre-wedding stress, wedding excitement and the honeymoon.

Re: did anyone feel 'off' post honeymoon
We absolutely felt this way. It was such a hit of reality to be back home and trying to get back into the basics of everyday life again was hard. I would say the enitre month after we got back we were very off and even sad at times. It is hard to focus on something and plan for so long and than to no longer have that focus is difficult. Hang in there...it will pass. Try to find something new to plan for....maybe planning a get together with friends..or a party for the upcoming holidays will cheer you guys up!

I feel that way now. For us it's a combo of getting back into a routine from the honeymoon and working thru the stress of closing on a house (next Tuesday, hopefully).I wake in the middle of the night thinking it was all a dream. Just weird.

Yes, we (or at least I) felt off. We had a HUGE blowout right after the wedding too. Not fun. But things quickly returned to normal, and they keep getting better and better

Its an adjustment - but everyday we learn and grow together. Together - being the key word.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!I was on the floor in our old apartment hystericla crying...my DH thouhgt I was nuts...
Someone said it's like post depression b/c there's no big day ahead...yet you truly have so much more to come...
But it's okay to feel down..know it will pass and your 'chemistry'
will return.

Re: did anyone feel 'off' post honeymoon
Yup, for the last 2 months. We have some other stressors that are probably contributing to it, but our marriage has been feeling off since almost right after we got back from our mini-moon.

Re: did anyone feel 'off' post honeymoon
Oh yeah I felt this way... But mine was more of 'I HAVE to be the best wife out there'and when I couldn't perform a 'wife' duty like washing the dishes or the laundry, etc...
I felt like I was letting him down..
We both were just 'off' for the first 2 or 3 months, trying to adjust..
Its normal... Totally..
Hang in there!

I felt weird after the wedding. Everyone was afraid to call becuase we were just married. It does get better. It just takes some adjusting. It took us about 3 months. Hang in there.

Re: did anyone feel 'off' post honeymoon
I don't feel off at all. I still feel like we are on our HM. My DH is cooking, cleaning and straightening everything else. I can't complain at all. He has been 10times more wonderful since we got married. I never thought that was possible.Welcome New Vendors
