Did anyone get a check(s) at the wedding and it bounced?
I got 1 and DH was a little annoyed cause we got hit with the $10 bank fee. He wants me to call and let them know. It was for $100 so I feel badly because I mean if someone doesnt even have $100 in their bank account that must mean they're having hard times, no? It was one of my BM's and she came alone because she had just broken up with her boyfriend a few months ago and he moved out so now she has to pay all the bills and rent alone. Should I call her and say something or just leave it alone? How did you girls handle it?

we got one from DH's coworker for $600 dollars (this guy is insane!). When we went to cash it in at our bank they told us that they would not cash it because he didn't have the money in his account ( same bank, I didn't know they checked like this). We tried to cash it for about 2 months. Finally we tried on the companies payday and it went through. People are so crazy!

we didnt get any bounced checks (luckily) but i think when you get the fee the check writer is notified that they bounced a check, so she probably already knows. myself, i wouldnt say anything because you know shes going through a rough time, unless she brings it up.

We got one. It was $100 from DH's work friend who was not coming. The check came weeks before the wedding, but DH insisted we wait to deposit it until after the wedding. I think we were hit with $20 in fees. I was annoyed but we never said anything. I think he didn't realize (he's kinda ditzy.)

that does stink... but i'm sure her bank notified her... i wouldn't say anything. obviously, if she was a BM, you know her very well,and she probably did a lot of WR things for you ( shower, bachelerette, etc), and you know shes going through a rough time right now- i wouldn't say anything... i'm sure she feels terrble, and you saying something would only make her feel worse. just let it go and see if she brings it up to you.....

We had one - it was from my dad's secretary. She called me when she got the notice, she felt so bad. I didn't ask her for the $10, because she pays a fee as well. Plus, I know she doesn't have a lot of money - she's a single mom.
I typically only put money into my checking account when I am paying bills - otherwise I keep all my money in savings - it has a better interest rate that way.
