Did anyone get marriage lisence from NYC - pls help
We submitted our marriage lisence in the Manhattan branch of the City Clerks office, and after 2 1/2 months, still no lisence.
I have tried calling the number given on the website for the manhattan branch, but its only an automoated messege. Does anyone know a phone number where I can speak to an actual person??

Did you go in person? We had to go in person. Can you go back and check? Or mail it in? Do you have any mailing receipts?

I cant help you with the # but I wanted to let you know we received ours 70-something days after the wedding....so its possible yours is coming soon.

It took forever to get ours as well. So long that my husband went down to get us another copy on the same day it arrived.

Thanks, but that is the same phone ## I have been calling. Its only an automated messege. I tried chosing 0 for a customer service/operator, but it said that number was not an option. We live in Suffolk now, and it would be a PITA to go down there. We could pay ANOTHER $10 to get a copy, but since they were supposed to send us one in the first place, I dont want to give them even MORE money. I'll wait another few weeks, I guess.
I just need the city lisence to get my drivers lisence name changed, AND the registration on my car. grrrrrrrrrrrrr
