Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
I went over the number of pictures. The price for extras in the album was the same as the price for the same sized enlargement.

Wayyy over!!!!
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
I went over and paid about $300 or so more!! It is crazy but at that stage of the game, where you have spent thousands already, it was worth it to have those extra pictures in your album for your memories, in my opinion.

Stacedz--How many extra pictures did you put in?

About 20 more and it was at least $400 extra. It also depends if your photog counts per page or per pic because you can fit sometimes up to 4 pics per page. Mine was per pic.
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
We were over by 4 pictures (10x10 size) but under on our multiple pictures on pages (our contract says 4 per page but we have some pages with only 2 or 3). They want $200.
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
I did not go over on pages (actually under on the pages) but I did go over in pictures. I had to pay $35/composite and could have up to 4 pictures on a page. I ended up doing 17 composites - One was included in my package, one I got for free because I didn't want the giant portrait/poster print, and two other I got for free because I was under 2 pages on the album. I had to pay about $400 extra. I really didn't mind though because my album is what I will keep forever.
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
I made sure I stuck to what was in my package. (we were allowed 66 pictures...so I was able to do it.)

We were over pages and pictures. He charged us by the photo as some of them were 8 x 10, some were 5 x 7, etc. . . .
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
We went way over our package. We got a cheaper package which included only 30 pics. We got 70. It was around an additional $700 to upgrade. It was better this way. we got to see our proofs first. Once we saw them, there were so many good shots we wanted to include. I have a friend who was sooo disappointed with her photographer and the way her proofs came out. In a situation like that, one would be glad they got a smaller package outright.
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
We went way over and we have over 22 composites and I wanted the cover with our pix, the nicer leather etc etc. It was all worth the extra money.
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
I think these are great lessons when talking to friends or other LIW brides-to-be about photographers. ASK if you pay per photo or per page. Also, try to look at full sample books and see what size book you might like before you sign a contract. You can say A LOT of money that way. Or negiote an additional per page charge prior to your contract.
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
we wound up with a total of about 100 pix in our album when it originally called for 65 i believe. i think it was like an extra $500 and the size didnt matter...
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
We went over about $400 too.....it was like $23 per extra!! i had no clue going into it that's how it was going to be..i wish i was more educated in the beginning. I have a friend who knew up front she would probably want extras, so she put in about 15 8x10's as part of her original package deal. this way she didn't order extras for the album, she just got the ones she wanted as her 8x10's. oh well, like someone already said, when you've spent so much already, i just wanted what i wanted for the album!
Re: Did anyone go over the # of pictures in album?
i am so glad i read this!! i was considering upgrading the package/album- we went small in the beginning & figured we'd upgrade later if we had the extra money. i am definitely calling my photographer to upgrade!
