Did anyone's invitation only require $0.37?

I weighed my invitation on my digital postage scale that I use to weigh my food, and it only came up as 0.7 ounces. I know that postage is $0.37 for the first ounce, and I didn't use heavy cardstock (made them myself). Is it possible that it will only require $0.37 to mail?

Re: Did anyone's invitation only require $0.37?

I had mine weighed at 2 post offices and it came up as JUST 1 oz. They said I should be able to do it with only $.37 but, since it was right on the edge, I didn't want to chance having a different scale show them as just over and get them all sent back. Mine were on a heavy vellum, so, if you made yours yourself and didn't use a heavy card stock and don't have too many inserts, I don't see why they couldn't be only $.37.

Re: Did anyone's invitation only require $0.37?

Mine were .60 cents, and that had to do with the size of the envelope.

I would bring it to the post office anyway just to have it weighed by their scales. If your envelope is over the standard size, you will have to pay extra for special handling. That's just the way the PO is.

Re: Did anyone's invitation only require $0.37?

The envelope is standard size. I weighed it on our Pitney Bowes machine at work that we use to send mail (and we never get anything sent back to us) and it was still $0.37. I'll have them double check when I bring them to the post office to be hand-cancelled.

Thanks, ladies!
