WARNING: if you didnt see the finale there is a spoiler, i dont say who won but will spoil it a bit
Last night was so weird, Dh and i were flipping the channels and saw the show double shot at love, it was towards the end but we also saw the first episode. There was this young girl on the show, and dh was saying how it was one of his favorites. Anyways at the end of the show they say in memory to her and that she died in a tragic car accident and she was 22.
THEN i watch the show blush after, i have been watching it from the beginning. My favorite was Todd, I LOOVED him. I kept telling dh how he was my favorite, he was the most adorable thing and really just so sweet and nice on the show. He lived in NYC and was so talented. Well last night was the finale and he was one of the finalists but didnt win and at the end he even says, well i am only 23 years old and i learned alot and still have my whole life ahead of me, and i even thought, its true he is so young and still has his whole life ahead of him. THEN at the end of the show it says in memory of Todd he died too, he just died this past Saturday . So right after the show i went online quickly to look it up. He just went to bed and never woke up, his bf found him dead. The coroner said that there were no drugs, alcohol or any pills in his system, so of course with him being 23 they had to do more tests bc this was weird. HE never had medical problems either, but they noticed something on the muscle of his heart and now they are saying it seems like he had heart problems but just never knew. I was so sad, he was so young its horrible.
it was also just weird to watch 2 shows in a row and somebody from each show dying just recently and both were extremely young
ETA: although he lived in manhattan at the moment, he grew up in Huntington, LI and his mother still lives there

i know thats what made it worse for me. I was watching that part and was so sad he didnt win but then when he said he was only 23 and still has alot to learn and has his whole life ahead of him, i just thought oh yeah he will be fine. He was great at 23 and will learn more and still has his whole life ahead of him to get to where he wants to be. THEN at the end they just quickly show the in memory of Todd HOmme part. I think someone should've said something though ya know, like one of the judges saying it. I mean come on, on the show double shot at love on MTV they even had the decency to be the ones who say it and explain what happened

I know. he deserved more than that. I dont even know what Double Shot at Love is. When did that air?

OMG that is horrible. To think you can just go to sleep like any other day and never wake up. I almost started crying

well you know how they did shot at love with tila tequila, now they have it with these twins vikki and rikki. They are both bisexual but they have their own set of ppl they date, they dont want to date the same ppl. One of the girls on that show that was a contestant also died this month and at the end of last nights show they said she died

That is sad and freaky.
Denise the show may not have had time to have someone say something or the family may not have wanted it done. You never know.

its very true, who knows. I thought it was weird how it just came up quickly and thats it. BUt then i was reading an article that said the same thing about how they felt it wasnt handled well so once someone else said it, i was like yeah definitely shouldve done more about it. His mom is the one who is talking to all the papers and saying stuff about her son and all the info about his death is out there BUT its true, who knows what they wanted or they probably didnt know how to handle it
