It seems their is soooo much planning involved something is bound to happen. Just curious if everything went 100% or their were some things that went wrong.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
little things:
my MIL didn't like where her table was when she saw it set up (DH worked with the MD to change it during the cocktail hour).
I wasn't thrilled with my hair/makeup
my videographer had to leave on a family emergency after the ceremony- but he had his mentor meet us at the reception hall. The replacement was there before we even realized Peter was missing.
the band announced one sister's song and not the others, DH didn't have his dance with his sisters (both due to poor communication on the part of my DH)
we forgot to set up the tip envelopes in advance and then couldn't find the $$ (found it the next day) but we had to scramble for cash for the envelopes
But none of it fazed me or took away from my day.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
There were a couple of little things....
we found out the day before the wedding that there was going to be a street fair and parade in Stewart Manor, where the wedding was. One was ending at our start time and the other was beginning. We didnt have enough time to let our guests know about them to give them notice about detours and traffic in the area.
we didn't realize that guests would arrive so much earlier then the start time (esp considering the above) and we did not provide a hopitality type thing and one of my relatives was pi$$ed that he couldn't get a beer before the ceremony. I didnt care that he was upset and was actually annoyed he made such a stink. I am still on the fence about whether or not we would have offered something before hand...it would have cost us more money and I dont think it's so awful to not provide something before the ceremony (this would not be an issue if we were married in a church) but the hostess in me would like to make my guests happy.
Oh, and the Rev's wife was helping me with my dress before I walked down the aisle. She promised she would straighten out the skirt and then vanish. OMG - she is in all but 1 of the professional shots of my mom and I walking up the aisle - in one her face is right between me and my mom. If I wasnt so angry/annoyed about it, the picture would be funny. And I received pictures from some guests where she was standing up on the gazebo steps as DH & I were stepping up to the Rev. I am so bitter about this!!!
ooops, I am long winded, sorry about that

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
I major thing & a few minor things.
The bus we contracted was scheduled to be at the WYNDHAM Windwatch hotel to take Vinnie's family & guests to the church never showed up. Turns out that he was sitting in front of a MARRIOT .... they didn't get to church until about 3pm and then the limo had to come & get the girls at my house. We started about a half hour late! Still mad about this!!!
The other things were so minor that it didn't really make a difference.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
1) weather..it was sooo cold! (can't control this though!)
2) DH & I were suppose to have a 57' vintage car drive us but it literally blew up on the way to get me! The driver showed up at the church w/police report to show proof that it really happened! Not a biggie though we jumped in with the bridal party.
3) Didn't eat ANY food at the reception..but that was ALL my fault...Make sure to eat!!

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
everything went pretty smooth.
I wasnt thrilled with my makeup either. I felt the trial went much better. I thought I looked too pale.
For my husband....he ordered 2 dozen long stem roses and was picking them up the night before. well he goes to the florist...they are closed so he had to scramble the next morning to get there at 9 on the dot to pick them up. He had his brothers deliver them to me. I was freaking out because my BIL was still at the house (he was waiting to be picked up by the rest of the guys) at 9:30....we were getting married at 10am!! Thanks god the church is only 5 mins from my parents house! He was really upset, but it all worked out in the end. He actually contacted the florist the next day, told the owner what happened, and he was refunded his $$$.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
What went wrong on our wedding day were small things:
We forgot to sing 'Happy Birthday' to MOG (our wedding was also her birthday.
We forgot to pose in front of the fireplace at our reception venue.
MOB wasn't happy that there was no hostess to seat guests. Usually guests find their own assigned tables. She thought everything was disorganized.
MOB wasn't happy with the small seating cards as she thinks it was disorganized. DH and I submit it to the reception venue in alpha order by last name which after that it's not in our hands anymore.
Weather was rainy but stopped for a short time and later poured with thunder and lighting during dinner.
MOH didn't do a speech as I'd asked her to.
Didn't get all our table cameras back, some guests took it.
DH put ring on wrong finger, it shows in video.
Everything else was fine.

I also put DH's ring on the wrong hand! My excuse is that he gave the wrong one to me. We realized as I was pushing it on his finger and just smiled at each other.
My cousin's appendix burst the day before our wedding! I was a little distracted worrying about her...
We misplaced one of the tip envelopes. At first, DH and I were worried, but realized just had to roll with it...fortunately we had enough cash on us to cover the tip. As it ended up, we found the envelope the next day, in the gym bag DH brought into the limo.
Minor, minor stuff!

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
A couple silly things.....
DH forgot his tux shoes at our apartment in Queens and he was in Staten Island and all he had was sneakers with him - lol. I was already at my mom's in another part of Queens. He was stressing and called like 10 stores in SI to try and get a pair and couldn't. He didn't want to tell me...but when I found out I thought it was sooo funny. Finally he called and asked my brother to drive and pick them up (half hour trip each way) and my brother had given his car to his date the night before. Brother had to find a car, drive to Astoria, find the shoes and drive back and rush to get his tux on for family pictures.
One of our readers didn't show up in time. We had to find a new reader and give him the prayer. Again DH stressed and I laughed. Luckily I brought photocopies of the prayers with me.
Worst one -COACH BUS company. The coach bus showed up half hour late making our guests very late to the cocktail hour. The driver could not drive and a guest had to get out and direct him out of the parking lot. I heard the guest were writing HELP ME on the condensation on the windows. Many arrived late and frazzled.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
Only two mvery very minor things. It rained after the church so no outside pictures and the florist forgot to put to the two extra centerpieces by the fireplace so I could give them to my grandmothers. Instead they put them in the lobby and two people walked off with my grandmothers' centerpieces.
Otherthan that everything ran smoothly.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
Oh - one more thing that upset me. DH's grandparents were not suppose to walk in the wedding procession. They were suppose to walk down before the music started. The reason why is that my grandmother was very sick and almost did not make the wedding. She would have loved to but I knew she did not have the physical strength to do this. Rather not to make her feel bad we decided no grandparents would. Everyone was made aware of this. Day of grandparents went to walk when they should and MIL stopped them and told them to wait for the music. I know this upset my grandmother and I felt sooo bad.

My video guy got lost and came to my house very late. Although he taped some stuff...he was in such a rush to leave for the church.
Other than that...everything ran very smoothly.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
I am so lucky but really nothing went wrong- if it did, I was not and still am not aware of it!
- OH WAIT.. the one thing that went 'wrong' is that I went to get my nails done (tips) at a place by my mom's house.. they started doing the permanent french (got through the entire set) and i HATED it- (I'm not a fan when the white part is too thick) so I soaked the ENTIRE set off and started over again with regular nails & painted French. But it was not a disaster b/c I had my appointment so early it made no difference that I was there for 3 hours.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
There were a couple things:
I was supposed to jump the broom as we were introduced in the reception instead of at the ceremony where it is usually done. At the end of our ceremony here they come with the broom. This was annoying because I had written a little hsitory about the tradition that I wanted read while african drums played in the background. None of this happened!!
Someone at Chateau Briand decided that I needed a cake topper. I did not want one. I only wanted the decorated cake. The topper was ugly!! It had this black couple on top and the man actually had an afro. My DH is bald!!! There was also some kind of lace thing on the topper!! Uggggggly.
Some guests did not pay attention to their placecards and sat where they wanted to!!@

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
The one thing that went wrong, my cake was not decorated by my hall with the candles and roses and rose petals provided by my florist, so now my cake and cake table looks naked

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
Some little I had no control of things
My brother was supposed to walk my mom down the aisle. He is from Texas so instead of leaving my house early he was there harrasing the bridesmaids. He couldn't find parking once he got there so we had to start without him and at first it didn't bother me but then when I got the pictures back I wish I had waited.
The major problem was my limo from Royalty. There were on time and everything. But by the time we got out of the church the 4 door Rolls had a gas leak...they denied the whole thing. But by the time we got to the reception I had the worst headache.

Re: Did anything go wrong on your wedding day?
Very small things. The florist made a mistake with the pew bows. They were supposed to go every other row all the way down the aisle. Instead, they were every row halfway down the aisle - which looked stupid in my opinion. You see it in the video and pictures. DH's boutaniere (sp?) died partway through the wedding but the florist met us at the reception with a new one.
My SIL decided the night before the wedding that she couldn't do her reading and that she would have her daughter do it. I was incredibly Pi$$ed because she had such a selfish reason (she said it was the same reading she had in her marriage to her ex-husband). My in-laws made her do it anyway.
I wasn't thrilled with my hair.
I ripped my train walking into my mom's house right before we left for the church. My sister sewed it back up. No problem.
The cake was yellow instead of Chocolate. Filling and decoration were right though.
When Dad was called for the Father Daughter dance, he was nowhere to be found. He took my 93 yr old grandmother and her two sisters to the bathroom. I stood in the middle of the dancefloor by myself. I just laughed - this was right after I realized the cake was wrong.
I guess a few things went wrong - now looking at the length of this post but I took all of it in stride.
