I didn't notice any drama on the post I made about speaking spanish. Obviously someone reported it b/c it was pulled? Or did I miss something?

I guess I missed it too and from the jist of it was it that people get bothered when spanish is spoken?
If that's what it was then that just s u c k s for the person bc I for example will not stop speaking it bc someone doesnt want to hear it. (Especially if I happen to be having conversation with all spanish speaking people). If someone speaks Spanish and there are members in the group that do not understand then that is rude in my opinion.
It was mainly about how it is rude to speak another language around people who do not understand, or those who refuse to learn english, or pretend they don't know it, when they move here.
and dh and I spoke about this same topic and I totally agree.

I just said that I can't stand when I'm in a group with a bunch of coworkers and TWO of them start talking to each other in spanish, when they KNOW the rest of us can't hear them, and how everyone thinks they're talking about them.
(run on sentence)

I can understand this. On the same token if I am on a personal phone call then that to me is different.
Eh, its really not that important. I was just venting about a coworker who does this. Daily.

I do this at home alot and at first it used to drive DH nuts but now he realizes that its not about him. He also picks up on key words so I cant plan anything without him knowing

My dad's family who all speaks English very well speak Italian when non-Italian speaking people are around. It's so aggravating because we cant' be included in the conversation. My mom gets so pissed off!

lol. my SIL's husband is Mexican & does this. He never wants to be apart of the family functions and when he's forced to, he won't talk to anyone. He actually has the nerve to PRETEND that he doesn't know English when in fact he DOES. Jerk! He apparently may be getting deported now tho. Oh well. I can't even stick up for him and say that he's a good American Citizen. Umm, no he's not. He won't even speak our language at all. Whatever. Go back to Mexico then.
