after i got engaged/marired- everybody i know got engaged or married as well- i mean just about all of my friends got engaged at the same time- no matter what point in their relationship it seemed.

yup ... we've had 6 engagement pop up after ours .. and all are getting married before us. its like its a competition to beat us! haha

anyone know of anyone that needs a good BM, I am up for hire, will not cause the bride any trouble, very willing and able and will work for free, just doing it for the experience

We are in a different place then all our friends...I have the one group who got married 4-5 years ago all just had a baby this year..then I have my other friend who is very wrapped up in work ..she got married 4 months after me...and then I have my one friend who is gettign amrried in Oct.in florida and I am her wedding...and then my DH friedns are all just dating and one in doing his residiency...
But i just feel that all my friends never call to make plans. that i am the only one wgo calls.. it is very frustrating.. I think Dh and I neec to find some new friends....

There are 9 of us still friends from jr. high some even earlier but it seems now that the epidemic started march of 2001 my friend got engaged and married june 2002, I got engaged dec 2001 and will be married july 2003 and I shortly expect others to follow.. I can't wait I have some bride books to give away..

I am the complete opposite. I have been to so many weddings since 2000. I was in the 2000 wedding. Then I got married in 2001. My DH's cousin and my cousin got married a month and 2 monts after us. My brother and DH's sister got married last year. My cousin is getting married this year; and maybe DH' other sister. Then DH's cousin in 2004, and my cousin in 2005.
After my wedding, I didn't want to be in anyone' wedding, and I still don't. However, I love weddings, and I wouldn't mind helping in the planning, and of couse going to the wedding.

Also,SIL's mom went to Las Vegas & got married like 2 weeks before our wedding on the spur of the moment.She was with her boyfriend like 10 years.

it does happen sometimes..i guess it has to do with everyone being close in age or at the same stage of their life, and sometimes guys need the extra push and going to friends or siblings weddings might do it ! you'll see it happen with babies too! in 2002, 5 of us had babies, in my friends/family group, ALL BOYS !!

i'm with natasha....before i got married, i was in about 12 or 13 bridal parties...it was getting ridiculous...i have a closet full of ugly dresses and shoes i would never wear again...one of them even set me back $800 and that was just the dress!!! i always swore i would never be one of those annoying brides and i wasn't - my bp still thanks me for that so long story short, i never want to be in another bp again, but i am totally excited to attend weddings, showers, engagements..all happy occasions are a blast.....plus, now that i know what goes into all the planning, i think it will be fun to see all the little details and what each couple comes up with
