when i was in my early teens i though i would be married with kids by 23 lol i grew out of the that phase i was 31

I used to thiink in my early 20's becuase when I was a teenager of 13- 20 seemed soooo old. LOL! But I had a friend that was determined to get married by 25, she did and is now in a miserable marriage- so I deceided to never put an age on it after that fiasco. I am glad I did not settle for anyone- I was engaged once and broke it off, he was cheating on me with people on the internet, etc. So gald I waited for the right one and met my DH!

Nope...in my late teens, early 20's, I always hoped to be married by 25-26... ...however, the right guy came along and I was 31 when we were married.

When I was little I always thought I would be married at 24. But I got engaged at 24, and married at 26. I think it was perfect now.

I had wanted to be married around 24-26 (even when I was 19/20!) but that didn't happen...I got married at 26!

nope! I thought I'd be married at 25.
Since my husband is 2 years younger than me, that put us on slightly different time tables. I was married at 28.

I had a goal to get married by 25 and have a kid by 30. I was almost married at 25, but that didn;t work out THANK GOD! I was married at 28. So now I'm aiming for the 'kid by 30' goal. I have a year.

Somehow I knew I would be married around 27-28. I got married a week before my 28th birthday

I always wanted to be married and have kids by 25 (it was the age difference between me & my mom) ... anyway, eleven years later ...

As a kid, I wanted to be married young and have kids young, because thats what my mom did and she was such a cool young mom. She was married at 20 and had 2 kids by 23!!!
But as I got older I changed my mind about that. I got married at 23 but don't want kids till 30.

I always said I was waiting until I was 30 to get married, but I met the right guy and got married at 26.

Frankly, I never thought I'd be this old when I got married I thought I'd be married, have the house w/the picket fence and a bunch of kids by the time I was 30... uhhh, NOT

34, just married, living in a small co-op and no kids (yet). Funny how thing turn out, huh?

But DH was certainly worth waiting for

I always imagined myself married at the age of 25.

I was 2 months shy of 25

Married at age 24.

So I was just about right on the money.

My mom and dad were young parents, I did not want that at all. Young brides always seemed so back country to me. so I always thought I would be 27/28, I got married at 23, I just could not wait anymore. Still no kids till early 30's though. I love being a wife!!!

I wanted to get maried at 25-26, but I did it a lot youger, I'm 22

I always said I'd be married by 25, and that's what I did..it just worked out that way, I didn't rush it to meet the goal.

I always thought I would be married by 25-26. I was 25 when I got married. It wasn't a goal, it just worked out that way.

Well when I was a little girl, I thought I would be married in my mid to late twenties, but then when I reached 26 I said to myself, I don't want to be a thirty something bride, I want to be married before my thirty first birthday, but timing wise that didn't work out and it wasn't all that important so here I am 31 and got married one month and a half over my 31st birthday. I hope to have kid(s) before my 33rd birthday. Well see how that goes.

I was thinking I would probably be married by 23 or 24, with kids shortly thereafter. I got married when I was 27 and I would like to have a baby by the time I'm 30, although I'm not sure that that's going to happen, but, then again, who knows...

didianita - you seem so much more mature than 22 - and I mean that as a compliment

ETA: Problem is I look really young and so I think if I would've gotten married when I was 23 people would've thought I was 18 anyway I still get Id'd at bars...
