I got married at 35 --

I never wanted to get married in my early- mid 20's b/c wasn't interested in it and saw all my friends getting married out of college - I wanted to travel more, live in the city, date etc...

The plan was that if I wasn't married at 35, I was going to get some lipo and a boob lift then I met FH and it all changed. I got married 4 days after my 35th bday...he will be 30 this year.

I am not allowed to get any elective surgery

I got married at 24,

there was a time I thought I would get married late 20s or early 30s.....boy, was I wrong....

But happy as can be!

Ill be 25 this month.

always had my thoughts on getting married at age 30 then have kids at age 32. didn't happen for me. i got married at age 27 and he at age 32.

I thought I would get married by 24 or 25, but I was 27. I always wanted to have my 1st child before I was 30 and it's going to happen!

I always thought I'd get married at 25 and I did. But like Robeymuse said, it happened that way, it was not a goal.

When I was younger I thought I would be married around 23 and have my first child by 26. Well I just got married and I'll be 27 in 2 months. I'm hoping to atleast have my first child by 30.

I never really thought about it.
In retrospect, thoguh Dh & I could have gotten married sooner, we have been together since we were 23 & knew early on we would get married.

ETA- We are 28 now, & married less than a month.

I had a whole plan...I was going to get married around 30-33 and have children around 35.

I am 29...married Dh at 27. Life just happens I guess.

I was going to get married at 25 and have a child at 28...I got married at 29 and won't have babies for at least 2 years!

Uh, first time or second time??
I thought I'd marry at 28, kids at 30. Well I married at 27, NO kids (fortunately for us), divorced at 34, remaried at 38 and 2 weeks. Kids better be quick!!

I thought by 26 and I was engaged at 26 and married at 27 kids around 30!!!

actually i was surprised that i was married at 26. before i met my DH i thought i would be an old maid lol

I figured that I would be getting married around 27 and have my first child around 29. I got married a month after my 31st bday - my husband is also 4 years younger than me and he never expected to be getting married as young as 26!!

Absolutely. When I was 21 and hanging out in bar with my best friend, someone asked me at what age would I want to get married,. I thought about it and said 32... Well low and behold I was 32! My best friend reminded me of that conversation the night before my wedding. Its funny how things work out.

I was seriously involved with someone from 21-23 and we'd talked about getting married when he'd finished law school, when I was 25. Thankfully that didn't work out, and for some reason, I always knew I'd be married at 32, which I was. But it wasn't a conscious goal.

DH was well worth the wait!

yes, i thought i would be 25 when i got married, i wasn't i am 26 and my dh is 27.

I am a little behind my 'big Plan' but only by two years. I thought I would be married by 25, having my first kid by 27. Instead I got married at 26 and am now 27 with no kid, but hopefully within the next year will move into the TTC zone!! But I must say, I am happy with the timing and how things ended up working out. I was able to finish up my masters before everything. Now just have to work on getting that great job!!

I am about 7 years behind my plan. Oh well, I definitely had fun and enjoyed those 7 years!

Definitely not. I was engaged at 21, left him at 23, basically stayed single until 27 then met DH and married at 29 and will be over 30 when I have kids.
Wasn't my plan but I am so glad I waited. I know that my DH is absolutely the man I was meant to marry, even if he makes me mad sometimes like this morning

well, i always thought 24-26 was the perfect ages. i never had a 'deadline' so to speak. i got married at 26 and glad i did. getting married too young this day in age is a recipe for disaster. i was engaged when i was 16 years old.....after 4 months i broke it off. i was too scared and wanted to experience life. we had planned to get married after graduation. so glad that never happened!!
