Did you know about your shower?

How hard was it to look surprised? How did they get you to the party?

I did know but I told my MOH that I knew about it so she didnt have to kill herself trying to keep it a secret. My husband drove me there and dropped me off. I didnt pretend to look surprised...Im not good at lying so I didnt even try.

I knew it was coming but I didn't know what day.
My SIL had a fit and complained to my mom about her sister and mother not being invited to the wedding.How else would she have known since the invitations to the wedding never went out?

Kind of. I can say even having a small idea it was still exciting and overwhelming (so many people all there to celebrate you!) and fun. I am not inito acting - so I think I would have 'acted' surprised.

I did try not to find out - never once even checked my registry. I wanted them to surprise me because I knew how hard my mom wanted to make it a surprise and special. But being there was a lot of shall I say drama around the shower dates I little by litle found out too much info - mostly by putting pieces together. Also mine was about a month before the shower ---so I knew it had to been coming on of my weekends - so anytime I had plans of course I suspected the shower.

I actually thought my shower was going to be the next afternoon. My mom did it on a Saturday night to throw me off. I thought I was going to an aunt's retirement party. When I heard about the party - I asked DH jokingly if it was my shower and he quickly responded no (not the best liar) but when I scheduled my hair and makeup trials for that afternoon and my mom (a last minute detail person) obliged with no problem she kind of threw me off. Since I also had plans with my family for Sunday (which were fake) I thought that would be more reasonable.

I knew but they tried to surprise me. It is not that easy to surprise me,unless maybe you were hosting a house shower for me. Since I knew it was going to be out it was pretty obvious.

I figured it out the day before the shower. I met my sister at the bar of the resaurant and she was like, 'Come on'. But when you walk into the room, while I didnt act surprised, feeling the love of everyone in the room is very overwhelming!!

I knew about mine. I had a fake surprised look on my face. My BF was getting married 2 mos after me, and her Mom asked that I meet her at a hall to help plan her shower, so when I walked in there was everyone!!!

Had no idea, my coworker ruined it (by mistake) and my sister changed the date, and I was REALLY surprised !

I knew about it and my plan was too act surprised...but I then saw my good friend in the parking lot...soI just walked in.

She felt horrible but I told her I already knew about it.

My mom spelled the beans 'See you Sunday' and one of my BM called also and said 'Hey Tina, I'm excited and I'm glad to see you Sunday.' What's going on Sunday???? Thus, that Sunday came, DH asked me to wear a skirt and something nice. We went to add one item on our Macy's registry then he took me to my shower (I'd played dumb and knew about the shower but didn't know where it was located). Although when I walked in I acted surprised.

I thought it was on Sunday at one of my BM's houses(she had asked me to 'babysit' ) But it was on Sat. and the girl across the street from my parents whom I used to babysit sat us upstairs because it was 'nicer' Had no idea then i thought what is she doing here about one of the girls I work with Surprise

I didnt know when it was, until we went out to luch one day, and I knew, but hubby had me belienveing it was NOT my shower. Then when we pulled up, I saw my friend's car and I knew then.

I had no idea about mine...I got an invitation for a b-day party in August and assumed thats when it was...but when my sister invited me over for a fathers day BBQ the Saturday before, and I walked in with macaroni salad...boy was I surpriseD!!! It was wonderful!!

I knew about it, so I had no need to pretend the 'surprised' look. I didn't want a surprise (too much effort at keeping it a secret and the bride usually finds out anyway)

I figured it out, but acted surprised anyway. The funny thing was that it was such a rush that I was shaking, so I really looked surprised. The only one that knows for sure that I wasn't surprised is my mom.

My BP suspects that I knew, but thanked me for acting surprised!

I knew about it - I knew the date, time and place
My mom escorted me in - regardless I was overwhelmed and totally surprised at how many people showed up - I gave MOH a list of 30 people, 25 showed up. It was wonderful
