I always envisioned myself in a dress with a poufy tulle skirt. My best friend got married a month before we got engaged, and I knew my engagement was coming shortly. She had a big tulle skirt and DH made a point of saying to me - whatever that skirt is made out of, I HATE it! I was sad because I LOVED tulle and a few people told me to get it anyway because it was my dress - but I did not want his first thought, when he saw me, to be - ugh - I hate that stuff! I was probably better off not getting it anyway!

Not at all! He trusts my taste and his only request was 'please don't show too much cleavage'...umm, hello, cleavage is my *only* good feature, it detracts from my huge as$...LOL. Needless to say though, he was pleasantly surprised when he saw me and cleavage won!

DH wanted my hair all down, which I knew would just fall flat, so I compromised with half up half down. He also wanted natural makeup since I don't wear it normally.

After my hair and make up trials I went to see Dh to ask his opinions. He loved them, so I repeated them for the wedding. As for the gown, I always wanted a strapless ball gown and he knew that. I never showed him a pic, but the day of the wedding he was very happy.

He really didn't voice his opinion. When I would ask he would tell me that he trusted my judgement and he knew that whatever I chose would be perfect.
When I would try to show him my choices he didn't want to know anything. He wanted it all to be a surprise. heh

After a mini-crisis, I ended up ordering a new gown off of Ebay and DH actually helped me choose it

I actually brought him along to try on a couple of dresses. people thought we were crazy but he went to school for photography and did fashion shoots for a while, including a bridal runway show, so i REALLY wanted to make sure he wouldn't gag with the dress. we narrowed it down together and then i surprised him.

No, he wanted my hair down and there was no way that was happening. I think he thought I turned out fine anyhow.
