pick the pictures for their albums. I was just thinking. we started doing that, but then I thought, maybe they should choose since its their albums.
what do you ladies do?

They picked whatever pictures they wanted for there albums and if they wanted extra pictures added they paid for the extras.
Same here for my IL's... but since my mom lives with me, there was no need to purchase a separate album for her since she has access to EVERYTHING I have lol

We gave the proof books to our parents to let them choose what they wanted, since they are their books.
Did the same. And we paid ($500 each) for them as gifts.

I let them choose - and they both did great....they both asked for guidance, which I was fine with, but I didn't want to pick the pics for an album that they were going to have forever.

I let my parents and ILs choose their own pictures, as strange as I thought some of their choices were.
