Did you send a 'thank you' to your DJ or band?

I havent thought about this one in a while, but....one of my friends just got married, and I told her to not to forget to send a thank you to her dj. I mean she was very happy with them, and I figured she would send them one. She was like, 'oh, should I do that?'. I did.... Arent you supposed to? Girls what are your thoughts on this??

I don't know that 'you're supposed to' but its a nice gesture.

I sent thank you's to my hall, my florist and my band - for the exceptional work they did.

yup, i sent a thank you. i sent thank yous to my florist, dj, photographer/videographer, hair/makeup.

my hall didn't get one because they screwed up royally.

I sent to photographer, make up and dress shop and Frank at the Fox hollow........
I WAS going to send one to the DJ but he messed up two things that really ****ed me off! and he didnt give out one box of my giveaways! that we bought on our own so NO THANK YOU TO HIM

I emailed him and got no reply! we bought them from an online company that he provided, and gave hiM TWO boxes, no one got sunglasses or these tamburines I bought
when I saw the video I saw two boxes
guess he forgot

and to top it off he played the wrong song for the throwing of the bouquet and he said on my contract cocktail hr and on my unedited version, dead silence!

ETA: if you were happy w/ your DJ and he didnt mess things up like mine then you should send a thank you

I was happy with all of my vendors (well, almost all) but i did not send thank yous to any of them.

I thanked them in person and in email, recommended them, paid them and tipped them...i really didnt think sending a card with our photo on it was going to make a difference.

Its a nice gesture of course but i didnt do it.

I didnt since half my band was replacements. They didnt follow the play list, etc. We had major problems with them

I did, I thought they were great and they do like to show that stuff to prospective customers.

We sent to every vendor, except the photographer &, videographer, they were awesome but they knew what they looked like, so instead I sent them an email and I recommend them enough.

The dress shop I did not send b/c the girl that helped me pick my dress and helped me everytime I went, no longer worked there. I had more than enough to go around so it was not a problem.
