Did your DH help with Thank Yous?
My husband and I are splitting up the Thank You cards - he's doing his 'side' and I am doing mine. Seems fair to me! But my MIL justtold me that etiquette says that the bride writes all of the Thank Yous. What do you think? What did you do?

Re: Did your DH help with Thank Yous?
He did his side and I did mine, just like you are planning to do. To be honest with you, I did not look up the proper way because I have to say that by time the wedding was over, I was quite done doing and saying things according to 'etiquette.'

Re: Did your DH help with Thank Yous?
DH did his side (as well as a bunch of 'our' friends - he's just better than I am
) and I did mine. I definately say ignore your MIL!! For the shower I wrote them all (though DH is so sweet - he offered to do some for me), but for the wedding, I see no reason why he shouldn't help write them.

He helped- we would sit together and he would do one to every 5 of mine.In the end, he did 14 and I did 80.
He tried.

I physically wrote them all out (his handwriting is terrible!), but he did help me with things to say and we wrote all all the family ones together. His other job was to put the photo in the card and seal & stamp the envelopes.

I did all of them, but it was no big deal. I just did a few a day, and they were done in no time!

Re: Did your DH help with Thank Yous?
DH did help do them and he saw no reason why he shouldn't althought I did do most because I did a few each night while he was at work at night. He would ask me who he needed to write them out to & what they gave us......he is sooooo good!

That's what mine is doing!!! He is afraid to write the thank you cuz his handwriting is so awful!
