Into your memories.

I am using you all as research. I am considering entering a writing contest for a contemporary romance story and I am tossing around the idea of making it wedding related; sort of the whole experience leading up to 'The Day.' Fiction of course and in the romantic comedy vein but I need inspiration. I have some of my own stories and funny happenings just by stuff that happens daily non wedding related but I need other ideas.

I have an after the wedding little thing...

So we stayed in a hotel the night of the wedding... and had our top tier of the cake all wrapped up and in the mini fridge in our room. in the morning i'm holding it all carefully and i'm so freakin nervous that i'm going to drop the box (because that's totally something i would do).

we make it to the car... cake intact. head over to kitchen kabaret (a little place to eat) to grab food. i make steve park in the shade so the cake won't melt while we're in there. i put the cake down on the seat and we go in to grab some food. they have the most amazing food there, and we get some food and cookies. we come back to the car and i get in and steve gets in.... SMASH. he sits down on our cake.

and now we have a smushed cake in my parents freezer that we are anxiously awaiting eating on our 1 year.

When we got home the day after the wedding I walked in first. My mom asked me how my night was and I told her great. Then DH was right behind me and she asks HIM how the night was and he says great and she WINKS at him and says 'i am sure it was!'

My mom is like little old italian lady, DH tried to run away from her it was horrible!!

LOL very cute. I'm sure it will taste fine-justa little flatter.
