Disappointed in Patken again (TYs)-pics added

Well, some of you may know about my first dilema of Thank Yous, DH and I were leaning backwards and came out very low on the picture and there was a lot of black above us.

They were nice enough to take them back and let us pick another picture. Well, we chose one (more traditional) of us in front of the church with the limo. In the picture we are kind of small (compared to the church) so I SPECIFICALLY said crop the picture so we are in the middle and you can see us. I said I didn't care if they cut out most of the church, the limo AND the bottom of my dress. Well when I picked them up, it was the EXACT picture just smaller....we are so tiny..... DH said we look like 'little people'

I ended up sending them out anyway but in looking at the OLD picture I actually like it better b/c you can see us without squinting (but we had to give those back to get these). Of course I took out a bunch of TYs I have from other peoples weddings and they are all up close. I'm just upset b/c we spent a lot of $$ and chose them b/c they were so reputable and I just think they should know what a GOOD TY should look like. I sure hope our album comes out nice

If it's any consolation, my TY's just went back for their 3rd try. I'm a hard woman to satisfy

D*m*it!! I felt bad to send them back again so that's why I just sent them out (the actual cards were already written b/c I kept them from the first bunch). I thought I was the only one and I was being picky. I should have sent them back again

I know how you feel . I had a diff photography company, but I waited forever for my TY's There was not enough so I finally got in touch and asked for more. Several months later the 2nd batch came and instead of black and white like the first batch these were sepia. I hated them. I was going to send them back again but It was taking too long to get in touch with them, so I sent them out anyway.
PITA!!

Betty why not speak to Doug? Seems they did right by you, in redoing your TY a 2nd time for free, I am sure, they will work with you, they have been nothing but spectacular with me always, and I made changes to my album several times so far, they never gave me a problem, ever

Betty : an idea since you already sent them out...........
Have them redone but use them for Holiday cards - that way you will be happy knowing they got at least one nice pic that you are satisfied with

Jenn, I already sent them out. I didn't want to be annoying again and I wanted to just get them out. I just needed to vent. It was nice of them to do them over but I figured they would...good customer service...that's why I didn't ask again. I'm not asking for anything b/c I already sent themout..just venting. I just hope everything is perfect with the album and my portraits.

nvrbrd: Yes, they were the standard.

Sassy: I thought about that too but DH won't let me spend the extra $$. I don't know if they would redo them for free b/c we already used them. We had to give the others back.

Don't get me wrong. They are nice pictures, they just look a little funny as TYs....I always see a TY with the B&G in the middle of the picture, usually a close up. The first ones were below the middle and the second ones, we are very small at the bottom of the picture.
Like I said, I just expected more. If they weren't good pictures to use, We should have been told. FH is even less happy than I am

Beth, you were such a BEAUTIFUL bride. I am sure no matter how big or small the picture, everyone will be able to see how pretty (and handsome) and happy you (both) were.

Beth, I did the same thing with my TYs, we asked them to crop a full length pic of us as we did not like any of the tight close-ups they took of us. I have not gotten them back yet, but I really like the idea vs. a traditional close-up, its different and original. Some people dont even send pics with wedding thank yous anymore, so I am sure your guests were happy to have the picture you gave them .

Dont feel bad, I just picked my TYs out last weekend. My poor guests will be getting late TYs as I am a slacker bride

Betty, show us what they look like. You also said you were going to show us the first one. Sorry you are not happy with them.

That stinks. I am sorry that you are having some problems. But really I promise you in a few months you will forget all about this and move onto to a new stage in your life...honestly.

I know Michele that's why we just sent them out even though we didn't LOVE them.

OK, when I scanned them, they looked bigger than what they really are. The first are the wallets and the next two are in the TY cards.

OK. They are too big but when LIWs resizes them they are really small. here are the two in TY cards. Hopefully you get the idea that we are very low.

It's a little hard to tell but we are 1/2 down each picture. They just look off center. The first one is all black above us and the other we are small and the church is large. It would have looked REALLY nice if it were cropped (like I asked)
