Disney for our 1 year anniversary and need some help
I am already planning our 1 yr trip to lock in good airfare prices and we definitely want to go to Disney! I need some suggestions.
I'd prefer a hotel on grounds of Disney.
These are the ones I've considered so far. French Quarter? All-Star Resorts? Hilton at Walt Disney? Animal Kingdom?
I know they are very different in prices but I would fluctuate based on people's opinions.
Any input???

We stayed at the Contemporary Resort for our honeymoon and it was awesome!!!! The monorail goes right through the resort and it was very convenient for us!!! Make sure you make reservations for restaurants you want to eat at because they have a new dining plan and restaurants book up really quick!! And restaurants that used to take walk-ins, don't anymore! Good luck!!

Not one of your choices, but... I've personally never been here, but my SIL & her family ALWAYS stay at the Grand Floridian. They LOVE it there.

Thanks guys
How long do you think I should stay at Disney? Is 4 days too short? I am defining days as full days to visit parks, etc.

Is 4 days too short? It depends on how much you want to see, and whether or not you've been before. I would think 4-5 days should be sufficient though.

I stayed at the French Quarter and we loved it, the resort is on the quiet side and so peaceful, four full days in the park is definitely enough. Here is a website like LIW but for Disney http://www.disboards.com/index.php?

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom for our HM and loved it! We had a Savannah view and sat out eating breakfast on the balcony with all the animals wandering. And at night we would sit out there watching the animals again. They have a nice, quiet bar in the lobby too.

ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE!!!! all star resorts is gross. i only stay there if pop century is booked if im going for cheap. AKL is one of the most beautiful resorts i absolutely adore it!! i've stayed at french quarter and i really like that place too!! theres a boat ride straight to downtown disney which is neat at night looking at all of the lights. the rooms are very cosy and are decorated really nice. never stayed at the hilton.. if there are any other questions u have whether its about hotels or disney in general (even restaraunts) let me know. im an expert

We stayed in the french quarter for my friends wedding in December. It was really nice, and their pool was fantastic (not that we got to use it!)

We stayed at the French Quarter for our HM in December. The hotel was definitely nice, but to look at it from the outside, i wasn't really impressed. Good thing about staying there was that the Disney Transport is really great...15 mins from Epcot....they have a nice trail you can walk to the Port Orleans Riverside, and they have ferry boat service to Downtown Disney which was really cool.
As far as how many days....it really all depends on how much you want to see. We went for 4 days and we didn't see/do as much as we could have.
I totally recommed doing the Disney Dining Plan. Food at the parks and within the resort is generally expensive. The dining plan costs $35/day and includes lunch, snack and dinner (with appetizer & dessert). We far exceeded the money we spent per day and got to eat at some places we never would have tried.
Happy Planning!

DEFINETELY get the dining plan if you could. we're annual passholders so we cant get this plan and its honestly the best plan. you can go to some of the nicest and expensive restaraunts they have for cheaper if you would without the plan.
